Amazon does not charge the card until it ships right?
I ask because I just got a bonus at work today, and if I can throw down the full amount right now, there wont be any issues later in the year.

Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Amazon had Breath of the Wild for the Switch available for preorder last night. I grabbed a copy from them for the 20% Prime discount. They could be out of Switch copies for a while. You may want to look elsewhere?MrPopo wrote: One clicked, release date delivery. They still haven't updated Breath of the Wild, though.

The 20% discount is why I won't look elsewhere. I'd like to get the Master edition or at least the Special edition, but I'm going to leave that to fate.bmoc wrote:Amazon had Breath of the Wild for the Switch available for preorder last night. I'm pretty sure that is correct. I just checked my credit card transactions. Walmart billed me for the full amount of a Switch and Amazon has not billed me for Breath of the Wild.fastbilly1 wrote:Amazon does not charge the card until it ships right?
Re: Switch Discussion Thread
Amazon does not charge the card until the item ships. It will run an auth on the card when the order drops into the warehouse in preparation for shipping.

According to existing knowns the system does 4K natively but at 30fps, only 1080p is locked with 60. I was thinking of VR more differently, another annoying headset and then using the 2 joycons as your manipulator as the tablet looks a bit bit for the head/heck after a bit with weight.miked wrote: Docked VR kind of ruins what I had in mind though. I imagined you would slide the entire tablet into a headset thus having a full portable VR experience. Like those Samsung headsets. If you have to buy another expensive headset and you are stuck only to the living room that doesn't sound great to me. I also doubt this thing runs at 4k natively. Upscale sure, but certainly not a true 4k.
The controllers still seem a little pricey to me. I was thinking more the price in terms of getting 4 for a Mario Kart multiplayer session though. I'm sure they would not make for the most comfortable experience either at 80 bones.
The controllers aren't a problem. Look closely, it has L/R buttons on top, and it's basically a SNES controller with dual analogs. That's more than enough so you have 2 solid controllers in every box for multiplayer games. It's nicely a bit of a savings not having to buy a 2nd controller as it's a given (as long as you don't need dual sticks to play.)
Amazon like Best Buy doesn't charge until they ship. You're fine. Also that must have gone fast as I didn't even see them get it or a notice. Typical with them I guess, bot slammed for the inevitable ebay raging boner for 2-4x the listed MSRP.
Does that 20% at amazon apply to the video game system itself as I thought it was just games and accessories??
