Seriously, right? I'll admit that I'm disappointed in the launch line-up, and the 32 GB internal storage concerns me a good bit, but overall, I'm MUCH more excited about this than most of yall seem to be.
NAY SAYERS, THE LOT OF YE! I'm also huge into JRPGs and Muso games, so I just about creamed my pants over Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem Warriors.
After starting and stopping both ALBW and SS last year, I realized I'm just burnt out on Zelda. So COTW isn't doing anything for me. Mario's Odyssey might possibly be cool, but I'll have to see more of it to really decide. The new Shin Megami Tensei has me intrigued. Xenoblade 2 was unexpected. Nothing else I saw in the initial line up got me personally interested. The Switch being region free was the most exciting thing for me.
I can't lie, I was hoping for more stuff, but it certainly hasn't put me off the console. I'm quite pleasantly surprised to see that we're getting a new Xenoblade and Splatoon, rather than ported versions of the Wii U games.
I am concerned by the lack of games this year, but I expect quite dry first years for a console. I'll be picking it up at launch along with Zelda. Is there any other confirmed launch games yet besides Zelda and 1,2 Switch though? Not so keen on that one - I bet it will be fun, but I don't get enough local multiplayer time to justify buying it at full price.
Skyward Sword is incredible, but severely suffers from motion controls for swimming and no camera controls. Which is why I am stuck at one point, despite making a solid effort into the game.

The only point I felt that the controls really suffered was flying that damn bird.
Thought I would swing by and see how you guys felt about last night and it seems to be on the same page I am on.
Zelda - Yeah, that trailer got me really pumped, but I really doubt this version is going to be leaps and bounds better than the Wii U one. Gameplay at last years E3 looked fine to me. At least its coming to the U at all.
Mario Kart 8 Complete - Meh? I have worn this game out, and while I am sure they will add in more courses/characters, thats not really enough for me to put out another $60 for it. Hopefully they add in a proper battle mode.
Skyrim - I was more excited for this game than anything. I still haven't played through it (i know), but sadly its not listed for release till fall. I don't usually care about graphics too much, but did the video look muddy as hell to anyone else? My internet was only running the stream at 720, but this just looked poor to me.
Mario - This does look pretty good and I do love me a Mario game, but its that December release that ruins it. Hopefully by then they will have a bundle going for the holidays. Mario running around in big cities among normal folks does give me the same vibe as what Sega did with Sonic for awhile there, but surely it wont be that bad.
Splatoon 2 - For being labeled the sequel, this looks suspiciously exactly like the first game. I didn't care for the first one and didn't put any time into it, so I'm sure someone can fill me in on the differences here.
Other than that 1-2 Switch looks like nothing I would ever spend $50 on and Arms looks cool but I am not that excited to jump into motion controls again. I could see arms having a normal control scheme for portable play though. Nobody wants to sit next to a guy on an airplane waving his arms around and crap, so it only makes sense they would give you that. I don't really care for modern JRPG's all that much, so nothing for me there really. Dragon Quest does look great and they seems to keep that series pretty old school so I would be down for that, but once again I'm sure its pretty far away.
I was really really REALLY excited for the Switch, but not so much now. I think I will just buy Zelda for the Wii U and a new video card/ssd for my PC. That will be cheaper than the Switch and I will be able to have my Skyrim Remastered and eat my Zelda too. Or something like that......

Proper Battle Mode, with feather and more courses.

It suffers from more than that, explicitly it suffers from fluff bloat and recycled redundant sections. But I'm not saying SS's a terrible game or anything silly like that. I'll probably beat it someday after I'm less burnt out on the series.
