Xanadu Next
Finally got to the "deal breaker" boss. Skolltula is basically the Matador of Xanadu Next. A lot of people just hang it up here. I stuck with it, and after about six or seven tries finally beat the bastard. PROTIP: If you ever play this game, beef the hell out of your magic stats and spell skills (esp. fire and lightning). You'll be glad you did when you reach this boss. Sadly I'd been totally focused on melee... that didn't do me any favors. At this point I reckon I'm about halfway through the game.

Xanadu Next
Last night I made it into the Xanadu Labyrinth. This dungeon represented a significant difficulty spike. There's a mid-boss in this place that's really evil. It's a lich with a special attack that can rip levels away from the player. As in, if you're level 15 it can attack and make you level 14, and then 13, etc. You lose the levels until you work up the experience points to level up again. It takes quite a while to level up so that's a pretty nasty special attack. At this point I think I'm about 3/4ths of the way through the game, with about 7 hours invested now.

1. Disgaea is kind of annoying me right now. I feel a bit of a love/hate thing with it.

2. I was going to start playing Mass Effect, but I've been blindsided by a nasty cold. Super tired, so just wanted to lay on the couch last night...

3. ...and since I was laying on the ouch I figured I'd go with one of life's great joys: the portable RPG while sick. I loaded up Secret Of Mana; but wasn't feeling the touch controls on this one. Or maybe I was just being cranky since I'm not feeling well.

I've been plowing through Dragon Quest Heroes on my snow days. I reckon about 3/4 of the way through it. Hoping to finish that off today and start the TGCD Ys 1/2 tomorrow.

Aeris is dead, disc 2 has begun. This is the second time I have gotten to disc 2, last time the psone fried the memory card after I beat the first weapon. This time however I have the save and savestate files backing up nightly.
