Sarge: I'm not buying the story out there until a reliable source confirms it. It goes back to the digital foundry bit there they threw the word 'assume' around like someone uses two letter words in a paragraph. Perhaps in a week with the reveal done, some people will truly leak some specs out and in turn confirm or deny the current rumor mill. Also perhaps we'll get the true story on the customizations inside as it could be a stock TegraX1 after tweaks, or something well between that and the next generation of their chip. It's all an assumption game now and playing rumors is just tacky.

Per that article, the clockspeeds are straight out of the developer documentation. Some of the other details aren't clear, of course. Even after the presentation, if people are under a non-disclosure, any leaks are going to be similarly anonymous.

As expected, rumor is preorders go up Friday. Other rumors say $250 price point and Gamestops are getting 15-20 per store.

Now I have to find a place that preorders that is not my Gamestop with 20 employees...

Yeah, I'll need to get on that. I think this will be the first console I've preordered, if I squeeze it in. (Probably won't.)

I predict this console is giving many a scalper wet dreams right now so I don't expect to jump on one for another year or two .

Maybe Nintendo will make enough though if it is at the lower price point and maybe third party support will come back, and maybe.... Oh wait this is Nintendo

Unless policies have changed, Gamestop employees won't get theirs in the first shipment, even if they're legitimately the first preorders placed.

Well thats good to know. I worked at a Software ETC in the 90s and early 2000s (technically a Gamestop) and that was not the case then.
