Pulstar, Blazing Star, and Strikers 1945 Plus are all really good Shmups.

all good games here. Samsho series is great. Some good beat em ups to. I'll recommend Aero fighters and ghost pilots (latter is cheap) Welcome to the club (can only be a million of us maybe less right? Have fun and hopefully yu can hold on to it (I've had mine maybe 6 months and already need to sell

Well... if I got a Neo Geo, these would be the games on my hit list:
Samurai Showdown 2 & 4
The Last Blade 1 & 2
Fatal Fury 3
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
Garou
Shock Troopers 1 & 2
SNK vs Capcom Chaos
Magical Drop 2 & 3
Last Resort
Metal Slug 2 & 3
King of Fighters '96,'97,'98,2000, 2002, 2003
Money Idol Exchanger
Neo Bomberman
Puzzle Bobble 1 & 2
Sengoku 3
Super Dodge Ball
Twinkle Star Sprites
Waku Waku 7

Wow, that's a lot more games that I originally thought. But I highly recommend Shock Troopers (It's like a top-down Metal Slug) and Last Resort (A shmup made by Irem of R-Type fame, which used many of the same artists who would later make the Metal Slug series), as these are two of the lesser known Neo Geo gems.

It's insane how overpriced those still are though, at $250. There is no way that hardware is complicated enough to warrant that pricetag, but it is because everything in the neo-geo scene is so overinflated in price...

However, I still really, really want an AES.
