Re: The Comic Book Thread
the Volume 1 TPB of Spawn (which is the first five or six issues) is on my 90's list in the 1992 section. So yeah. We are definitely getting old.

We are. When I realized the Diablo anniversary celebration is its 20th anniversary I felt super old.marurun wrote:Spawn is old now. We're old now, too.

I went back and reread the first couple volumes of Spawn and it made be feel SO old, at least in part because I realized the writing was such crap. The premise is cool, but everything about the presentation is not good.
Re: The Comic Book Thread
Did you ever read the "edgier" Hellspawn series that came out in the early 2000s? I think it only had 18 issues, of which I own like half. I picked it up because I figured a new spawn written by someone else would be good. It was not to be.marurun wrote:I went back and reread the first couple volumes of Spawn and it made be feel SO old, at least in part because I realized the writing was such crap. Something seems wrong when someone decides Spawn needs to be "edgier."
