The Comic Book Thread
Re: The Comic Book Thread
Yep. High hopes. I want to see Frank in his own world, where his morality (or lack thereof) just IS, rather than acting as a foil for Daredevil.

Re: The Comic Book Thread
I haven't been posting much about what I've been reading here, since I've been keeping that blog with my thoughts on each issue. BUT, maybe I'll at least keep track of my progress on that big list of 90's books that I made here...
The list started as 24 titles that I'd try to read in 2017. Somehow between reading the first book on the 1st, and today (the 4th) the list has grown to 26 titles.

1. Spider-Man: Torment (1990)

Re: The Comic Book Thread
it really is. Honestly, I always wanted to read the book BECAUSE of that cover art. Unfortunately the writing isn't as classic. It's got some great artwork but ugh, what a slog to actually read.Ack wrote:That is some classic McFarlane art right there.
Re: The Comic Book Thread
McFarlane is a pretty crappy writer. He should stick to art.
Re: The Comic Book Thread
He's arguably a much better businessman than he is either of those things.marurun wrote:McFarlane is a pretty crappy writer. He should stick to art.

I agree. Also I just discovered that Spawn reached issue #200 in 2011. Man, I have issue #1 and #100 in a closet somewhere. Man, has it really been that long?marurun wrote:McFarlane is a pretty crappy writer. He should stick to art.
