I'd say Sega, Squaresoft and Treasure. Honorable mentions to Konami, Nintendo, Capcom, Namco, and SNK.

Bioware, Team Ico, Sucker Punch Productions, Ubisoft(I'm only listing them for Michel Ancel's work and Prince of Persia),United Game Artists(Rez,Space Channel 5), Double Fine Productions, Rare, Clover Studios(although I hate God Hand), whoever developed The Red Star, Koji Igarashi and his team. That's all I can think of at the moment

Mine: Capcom, Square, Treasure. NIS is also slowly becoming a favorite.

I always check the games these companies put out for a system to decide if I should buy the console or not.
