Far Cry Primal, because it doesn't get any more retro than the Stone Age! (I'm really sorry about that).

Also playing through the first Dishonored. Well, I say that - I haven't touched the game for over a week now, despite my love of stealth games.

I'm also playing Shadow Warrior (2013). Cool FPS with a decent melee combat mechanic. Sadly most of the guns aren't nearly as good as the katana. I hear the sequel is decent too.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

My brother and his wife are over, so we've been playing a fair bit of couch co-op together with my sibling. For reference, my bro is a veteran gamer like myself (although what he plays mostly now-a-days is Hearthstone), my sibling is fairly good at games, and my sister-in-law is a total noob to games and has trouble getting her head around them usually.

Overcooked: Gourmet Edition : This is the MOST fun couch co-op game I've ever played. Going around the kitchen, frantically yelling through the first time, then slowly working out the most efficient strategies to work through everything is just such oodles of fun. Definitely my favorite game of this year (though I will admit it hasn't had much competition). Definitely not nearly as fun without 3 other people to play it with, but if you do have that available, Overcooked is a phenomenally fun game.

Dragon's Crown : My bro and sis-in-law were pretty tired when we started this tonight, but that didn't keep us from having a great number of laughs at the pandering-as-fuck art style this game is so infamous for. It's pretty darn fun, actually. I'm not sure it really works for our little group of three, but I'll definitely be playing it more by myself sometime if we never go back to it while they're in town.

Don't Starve Together : Played this very briefly to realize I had wasted $15 on a multiplayer console game that has ZERO local co-op stuff ($15 that could've been spent on Magicka 2, I now realize ;A;)

Then of course I've been playing more Tales of Hearts by meself when I have downtime now that school is finally over (as of yesterday). Sarge wasn't kiddin' though about the pace of the story. There are scenes that I go into like, "oh, this will be a neat side diversion as the party is split up (or what have you)," but then it turns out to just be a quick slide-show of events until the party is back together again and before you know it you're back to adventuring! Still having a lot of fun though :3

Anyone check out the Nier Automata demo? It's freaking awesome. It has the Bayonetta polish (the dodging is even Witch Time now haha), but with that awesome serious Nier backdrop. I loved the first one and it was the first game and am so stoked for this one.

This and Nioh next year, so awesome to see some high caliber Japanese action games again.

At my mom's for Christmas until Tuesday or Wednesday, and all I brought with me is my 3DS, so I've been polishing off some 3DS games (hence my recent reviews of Bugs vs. Tanks! and Spirit Camera). Trying to wrap up Senran Kagura Burst right now. Probably going to move to Crimson Shroud next.

It's a great (and highly unique) dungeon crawl except for one stupid RNG determined required random drop.
Grinding Skeleton Mages in the Gerseym Waterway for the Obsidian Daphne.
Don't let that stop you though, Matsuno is a genius designer. The rest of the game makes up for it.

If you're trawling the 3DS eShop looking for stuff to nab, let me first suggest:

I didn't realize the new Nier was so close to coming out! I'm so torn on whether I want to spoil myself with the demo, or just go in totally blind like I did with the first game. I think I will trend towards the latter, but I'm veeeery excited for that game!

I was going to play it right when it came out, but it didn't show up for me until much later for some reason :| I can see it now at least, so I might give it a shot tomorrow.

I haven't beaten the first game yet, but Automata looks so good that I recently started playing the original. I'm having a good time with it too, which is making me even more excited for Automata haha

Nice! The first one needs more love.

It's so cool to get a high quality Platinum game that's going to have a more legit serious story and characters than their norm. And this composer is incredible.

Fuck all this noise. 6 encounters, and I STILL can't find one.

Just six? Pfft. My first play I got it right off, the second, it took me probably 20.

Yeah, just looked it up, took me three hours to get it.
