Never thought I'd own one of these again. I've only gone so far as to clean and verify everything works. $6 purchase here on this fun stuff.

Sega Dreamcast Sept 2000 WK / HKT-3020 w/OEM AV and Power Cables
- 1 Sega Dreamcast Controller and VMU (with dust cap)
- 2 Sega Controller Extension Cables
- 1 Madkatz Blue Controller
- 2 High Frequency Memory cards

It also had that awful Acclaim 2000 Football game loose in the drive, it's how I tested it out.

I've not had one of these in a good 10 years. Going to have to go and investigate if it's worth my time to get games I used to like on it and those I never did, and if it can take a burn or not (as I'd love to throw Half Life and Propeller Arena at it again.)

Badass!

Isn't there a serial number or something to check if a Dreamcast will play burned games? Both of mine accept CD-R games, but I've heard that not all of them are like this...

The story goes that the last revision of the console will not boot burns. I want proof or I'm assuming that's just a myth.

I read up on it again as it has been a dozen years and I forgot almost all. My understanding was some of the Dec2000 and after units lack/won't run (whatever) MIL-CD format meaning no burns. Research online seems to say both ways that contradicts.

This system though: Sega Dreamcast Sept 2000 WK / HKT-3020 w/OEM AV and Power Cables (1) [NTSC-U]

It's fine. If you have a system with a 0,1, or 2 in a circle, and it's supposedly pre-Dec 2000 it runs any burned media so it's safe either way.

I've been doing research as I forgot a lot thinking I'd never get one again. Seems any game I used to own that was a vertical shooter (Gunbird 2 aside) all seem to be like $100-150 range and I detest bullet hell games now so I don't care. Cannon Spike I can burn or do without. Anything I used to own I'd play again seem to fall into the mostly $5-30 range Complete(Like New condition rated on ebay.) A few tip up to $40-50 range but not much. I had an extensive library 1999-2004~ before I sold most my game collection off due to a down turn.

Since it can do a burn I'd love to re-make my old Half Life, Propeller Arena, and Quake 1 discs, but beyond that, can't say. I also noticed people now sell VGA to HDMI adapters really cheap, could pop it into my LED TV through that and it would be so crisp.

Looks to be in good shape too. I hate how mine is pretty brown.

Did the color get corrupted like an SNES or what?

I think it's a similar effect yeah. I think the thumb stick on the official one is just a bit off color, and then one of the knockoff VMUs is definitely off, but otherwise nothing is out of order that way.

$6!?!?!

Did some madman literally price the console, the controllers and the VMU's at $1 each?

Probably. I got an almost identical bargain on a Sega Dreamcast with controllers and VMU's at a thrift store near me. It just depends in whoever's in charge of pricing.
