Now that's an awesome find along with the Component cables in box from earlier. Smash and Phantasy Star for $3 each is ridiculous. There are some very good games in there, nice find. Mystic Heroes and Bloody Roar are elusives for me.mas wrote:I'm not into GameCube but congrats to you bro. Awesome finds. Jmbarnes where you at lolemwearz wrote:

I feel like Star Fox Adventures is such an underrated game. Of course, you always compare games to like-games. In this case, you'd have to compare it to a 3D Zelda. And if that's what you're doing, yeah, Star Fox Adventures is a shorter game with less content. But all that aside, it's a fun playthrough. And the graphics still hold up today. Play it with component cables (the NTSC versions of the game have 480p mode) and choose 16:9 in the options, the game looks amazing on an HDTV considering is from a few generations ago.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Less sometimes IS more and that's how I felt about the game. Star Fox Adventures got an undeserved bad wrap since everyone moaned you weren't in the arwings for almost the entire game, and even then it wasn't "Star Fox" by any means. It had a lot of good areas, gameplay, sure the chain move was repetitive but which game like that isn't? It wasn't your usual Rare overkill collect-a-thon nightmare either. I keep intending to play it again, but as of yet I have not stumbled across a complete copy of it locally. My intent is to find it that way, and go at it whenever that may be.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Awesome graphics aside, I didn't much like Star Fox Adventures when it came out. Something about it felt super weird, like a movie that switched directors halfway through production. I didn't learn why until somewhat recently. At first, it wasn't even supposed to be a Star Fox game. The heroes were supposed to be Krystal and some wolf guy with a sword who were supposed to take turns beating dungeons one at a time. Once I learned that, a lot of strange things made sense, like General Scales getting so many "muhaha look at how evil I am" scenes only for Krystal, too, got a weirdly long introduction for someone who just turns out to be a princess in need of rescuing. I tend to categorize the beta version of Dinosaur Planet along with other lost versions of games I'll never get to play, like Sonic Xtreme.
