Yeah that may be a solution, if iOS (clearly Android would have something whatever the name is) for that kind of touch to gamepad reassignment app.

Like I said, if my thumb wouldn't drift I would have no issue at all. I play by feel, and a smooth buttonless surface screws me up very seriously.

I do like at times to do what you said. I picked up a mini-hdmi to hdmi cable I can tap my shield tablet into, then using a bluetooth game pad I can fire up any nice game on my 32" LED TV and it looks fantastic. Or like you said, plug it into the sound system as I have a pair of 2.1 systems with a sub that really sound fantastic as I recently found a brand new this years model one at a goodwill so that's on my PC now and a few years back altec sits at my chair for Gameboy/DS use. :D

tried Cat Bros before bed briefly last night and I actually thought it was one of the first touch-controlled platformers that worked well. I mean... this is based on like 10 mins, but I'm impressed and will be playing more when I have time.

I have to say, I really do like Super Cat Bros. It's very impressive. Feels like some long lost SNES game really. And it keeps tossing surprises at you - with the other cats you unlock and things like that. I beat a 'boss' last night that was basically an underwater Flappy Bird section. Good stuff.

I've been playing it off and on here and there, still loving it. I'm at world 4-2 now. Taking my time and getting all the bells and keys. I've got all the bells so far except for one in world 2-8. I can't believe this game is FREE. It's better than a lot of DS and 3DS platformers I've played, even a few made by Nintendo.

I agree. Though I'd gladly pay $5 or whatever to stop the sporadic ads.

I lulz'd at the part where you get 1 coin per star you give them on the Play store.

I haven't seen any ads. Although while I play free games like this, I disable my cellular data and wifi by default, so that's likely why.

oh, yeah - I'm playing on a Shield tablet w/ wifi turned on. The ads don't bother me much though. They are rare and they are easy to X out of. Shrug.

True, I only got annoyed once as it popped up while I was doing a jump and died which sucked, but other than that been inobtrusive. Truth be told, if they had a buy out for like $1-3 I'd pay it, it's a solid fun setup and I don't say that about platformers using touch controls as they normally suck.

I've got it on both, but mostly being out I've used the iOS version.

has anyone played Arma Tactics? It looks a lot like XCOM. Curious if it's any good.

Marvel Puzzle Quest has a Thanos event going on right now and the rewards are pretty nice. They started this new thing with Dr. Strange and they're continuing it to Thanos where they introduce both a 5 star and a 3 star version with the same powers, just scaled to their "rarity". That way the money-bags can spend spend spend for the 5 star and us shleps can work our way slowly to the 3 star version.
