I'm closing in on 2 others now too - I'm at 87 Squirtle candies, and they're not uncommon around here - in a week or 2 I should have Blastoise.

Omanyte still seems to be spawning infrequently down by the river - there's a super small nest there I think - always seems to be 1 Omanyte about most of the time. There was frequently 1 Bulbasaur there a few weeks back.

Guess that means nests haven't changed from the update then - Kabuto will still be at the local park.

I'm close on the charizard and the venasaur, but the blastoise is going to be a haul. The little blue jerk kept coming up not that great, and then I'd get something nicer, and again another nicer yet. I'd have it by now if I settled on a garbage wartortle twice so far. I've got a pair of ivysaurs like 15~ away from doing one, charizard about the same on the candy walk.

Honestly, I'm not disappointed at this announcement, it's SOMETHING. They already gave us those great Halloween and Thanksgiving events too, totally unexpected. I thought at first that they were gonna put the in-app purchasing screws on the players really hard, but I've seen games far worse in that aspect.

So yes, today I was busy doing the work thing, but in between I found reasons to play! Let's start by even leaving before I had to go downtown. I saw him on the tracker, and got it!

Quick Attack/Discharge, and a near perfect appraisal (14/15/15). He's my new buddy for the rest of the year! If you evolve it, I heard it does keep the hat as a Raichu, but I don't really want to!

I made it downtown and trained quite hard to get in here, as the leader!

That is 6 gyms on the count for now. 2 hatches of old eggs today too, so I'll be eligible for new Gen 2 stuff soon!

I've got a Blastoise but he was from an earlier level, 500 something CP. I've got far more water types with Hydro Pump for now. One elusive example has to be a Koffing, I've only seen the shadow of it once and never again. Right now I'm at 138 seen/125 caught.

So, I have a Pikachu with a santa hat, now, but none of the new baby Pokemon (not that I think they're useful in any way). And none of the new regular critters seem to have dropped, yet. This is such a slow trickle of content, it's frustrating.

Went out to a christmas wonderland with roz and my wife and I was so expecting a pikachu with a santa hat. I was disappointed buuuuuut!!!! I found a 1098 cp hitmonchan. We were in the car and I squeed like a girl and yelled at my wife to slow down. It spawned overtop a ratatta and I kept selecting the ratatta. Did snag it though! Woooo!

I've had no luck with eggs either. A couple of 5Ks just turned up a star and a crab...meh. I got my first 10k egg the other day in at least 2-3mo, so I popped that one to see what shakes out. I don't recall after them pulling the eevee having anything disappointing in there.

I keep getting Scythers :? Which is disappointing, because he's not that uncommon around here to begin with (I caught 2 yesterday and 1 today). With over 102 candies stored up, I'd really appreciate it if they gave me something different now

Good point forgot that was a 10k. I can get those around here too, not common, but not once a month or two pikachu rare either. I've already got a pair of them which are really solid.

Hatched a 10k and 2 2k eggs since the update - Hitmonlee, Jigglypuff and Zubat.

Here's hoping for something better another time. I just have 9 5k eggs now though...

Added another addition to the pokédex though, after I finally reached 100 Squirtle candies. Blastoise is now marked off the list.

My Omanyte spawn seems to have dried up though, which is annoying as I'm only 2 Omanyte away from Omastar.
