I don't know if it does or not.
I know that Super Cat Bros. has simple touchscreen controls that work marvelously for being a platformer. Proving that you don't have to dumb a platformer down to a continuous-runner, with one button jump control, to make the genre work on touchscreen.

I will check it out, since Mario Run isn't on Android yet

I'll post some animated gifs because I really like this game:noiseredux wrote:I will check it out, since Mario Run isn't on Android yet

This game is free but has IAP. However, I have not yet needed to buy anything, and I'm pretty far in. I'm not even 100% sure what the IAP is for. But I'll reserve judgement on that until after I finish it.

Mmm that looks damned good, reminds me for some dumb reason of Trip World just a little. Downloading this like now.
By the way...here's one for all sorts of mobile formats -- Whoa Dave! Look that up, its like some 2600ish looking Joust-sorta like clone and it's not easy but good fun.
EDIT: Just thinking of erasing Super Cat Boy, that game on touch controls 100% sucks it's unplayable. I can't even clear the first stage. And even when I thought I did with the blocks rising up at the end which looks like the SMB1 flagpole area, I just walked off the right side of the map and was killed for trying to end the stage. That game would be awesome if it had real buttons to play by.

Cat Bros looks great. Haven't played it much, but it is definitely not responding to the bluetooth controller properly. 3 buttons ask if I want to exit, the rest of the controls do nothing. Too bad

Hmm I hadn't tried bluetooth, figured it was touch only and I for one growing up on a game pad can never handle touch controls in the least bit. No sense of touch, so my thumbs float within seconds off the fake on screen buttons to certain death.

I'm playing Super Cat Bros. on a Droid Turbo 2 with Marshmallow, and the touch controls work beautifully. Maybe it depends on the model of the phone and its OS version, I don't know.

Maybe, using an iphone5s here stuffed into one of those otter defender protectors. Either way, losing 10 lives on stage one because of controls got me off it for now.
That Traps one that looks a little indiana jones/spelunky like seems like it could be fun.

I have no trouble with the screen controls, just still prefer a real controller. When I really enjoy an Android game, I'll plug it into my screen and play with a proper controller through my sound system 'cause, why not? I'm really enjoying it so-far, so I may just install a controller-to-touch screen adapter app. I like that the in-app purchase included "add-free".
