I started watching Arrow. I think instead of binging I'm gonna kick it old school. One show per night. A different show each night. Like the old days.

by the way, y'know what makes Supergirl great? It's a world where Superman uses the emote while instant messaging.
I'm serious.

I have only seen one episode of Supergirl, and that was last night as part of the crossover thing they did last week. It was... eh.

I finished catching up on Black Mirror, which is excellent.
Also finished S1 of Westworld, along with half of the internet I would expect.
For some reason I've watched most of S3 of Broad City, which usually leaves me wondering why I watched it, but I do anyway. I should find more 30 minute shows to watch during lunch...or bother to put an anime disc in...

it's not for everyone. But let's say that you're really into superhero stuff but you also love Mean Girls. Then you'd like this.Sarge wrote:I have only seen one episode of Supergirl, and that was last night as part of the crossover thing they did last week. It was... eh.

Kind of bummed about the Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 finale. It's not as good as season 1's and the behind the scenes creative differences really show in this episode. I fear for this show's future with the show runner leaving, as I think he was doing a good job.

to say that I'm a fan of The Evil Dead franchise is sort of an understatement. And yet, I lost interest in season one right around the mid-point. I don't know. The tone was there and all. And it was plenty violent. I think that maybe that focusing on too many characters rather than it truly being ASH Versus made it kind of meh for me. Too much character development sort of felt un-Evil Deadish to me maybe.

Finished Luke Cage over the weekend. I liked it, but it was overlong and yet somehow ended with more questions than it answered. :S

I think the second half of season 1 is actually stronger than the initial batch of episodes. If nothing else, you should watch the amazing season 1 finale. It's possibly season 1's best episode.noiseredux wrote:to say that I'm a fan of The Evil Dead franchise is sort of an understatement. There's also a couple season 2 episodes that draw heavily from the first two Evil Dead movies like "Trapped Inside", which is one of season 2's best
I totally get it if you don't feel like watching the show, but there's at least a few episodes that I think you'd enjoy. The Dark One and Trapped Inside are really fun and possibly the show at its best. If I had to just show one episode to someone I might pick one of those two.
EDIT: Home Again is fantastic too. It's just unfortunate that the season 2 finale that it leads into didn't really deliver.
