Has anyone played the previous ones?
Any helpful tips for a beginner?
Which is the best one in the series?

Suspicious first post, but at least you're talking about a truly great game series. I've talked about the Sorcery! series many times on this forum, but I don't think anyone ever cared. Maybe a dedicated topic can finally bring this series the attention it deserves.![]()
Sorcery! is a four part series of games based on an original four part adventure-RPG book series from the '80s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sorcery!

I beat the first three on Android. I had a great time.

Don't start with Sorcery! 4. Start with the first Sorcery! and work your way through. You will have a much more powerful character, with far better equipment, and a personally molded outcome after you finish the series.

I have not completed Sorcery! 4 yet, saving it for a Texas trip later this month. But out of the first three Sorcery! games, I enjoyed the first game the most. That's just because it felt the most like embarking on a personal adventure through an untamed land. However, the second and third games are still fantastic in their own ways.
I really don't think that starting the series with the fourth and final game is a good idea. The player would be missing out on a ton of things doing that.
Here's all four on GooglePlay:

I think you can get them on Steam too, but bleh Steam.
