Amazon has those edge sticks for $24.99 new with prime shipping right now. They are out of stock temporarily but they usually don't bother offering orders unless they know some are coming in.

Been like that for a while. The 3rd party at Amazon for $29.99 (Emio newer MSRP) is where I picked up Edge Joystick[/url].

Metal Slug plays great, but a sacrifice of adjusting the two buttons thru the game menu for jump and fire and losing out on the grenades. Heavy Metal SHMUP the real surprise, fire can be set to not just auto, but AUTOMATIC fire in the game menu and with the turbo button engaged, nice! Namco Museum Megamix work perfect, though the remix 3d games do require the analog stick with or without the NES Classic Adapter. Plugging in just the adapter alone brings up "Wii Classic Controller detected" in the game. Moving Pacman to each Arcade Cabinet also requires a Nunchuck swapped in, this confirms the Edge Joystick is strictly Dpad emulation.

Included Genesis games:

Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic Spinball
Ecco the Dolphin
NBA Jam
Sega Menacer light gun with included game cartridge
T2 the Arcade Game

Included Sega CD games:

Sewer Shark
Sol Feace
Batman Returns
Sherlock Holmes
Sega Classics Pack (4 games on one CD, don't remember what they are off hand)

Price: $23 at Goodwill

The Sega CD appears to work, it just makes a grinding noise that sounds like bloody murder before reading a disc.
Cool score! Sega FTW!

Check the plastic gears inside the SegaCD. Something is wrong there. Grinding is never a good sign.
I opened up the system and checked. A white gear that helps the laser lens scoot back and forth is nearly stripped. After struggling for a few seconds it eventually boots and plays games, but this Sega CD's days are probably numbered.

I did some digging online and figured it out. This dude on youtube had the same problem as me:

The youtuber "Cameron McKown" posted the following on his video:
its an easy fix. there is a switch the laser hits when it retracts. over time it gets bent so the laser doesnt know when to stop retracting so it grinds the gears til it hits the switch. youll have to take the laser assembly off which is very simple. I think its one plug and ribbon cable. then use the gears to move the laser forward and youll see the switch its hitting. just take a small flat head screw driver and bend it back forward. if the plastic cap falls off while you do this just carefully reattach it. its very easy
Now my Sega CD doesn't grind anymore. :D

It's not a super amazing omfg deal, but I got a CIC copy of Splatterhouse for TurboGrafx-16 for $50 on the PC Engine FX forums. I rarely see that sell for less than $75 on eBay, so I'm pretty happy with that deal.

Considering what you said that's kind of a victory still and a deal as it's only bound to get worse as the TG market is crazy and sustainably so far for years now.

That's kind of how I see it. I was going to jump on anything less than $60, so it's a win in my book.

It's how I approach local game buying tolerances. If I can nail it down for 20-25% under the ebay rate I'm happy. Under 20%, it seems greedy and I'd rather sit on my ass and click the mouse a few times and wait for the mail man to show days later. :) I feel at that point, wasted time, money, gas, wear and tear, and the rest isn't worth it.
