Should I buy this game?

Post by Qweetix »

I have a friend who wants to sell me a copy of Turok 2 for the N64. It's factory sealed in a blisterpack. He only wants 15 euro, seems like a sweet deal to me, but what do you think?

It's definitely a good game, worth getting. Sealed copy, that's up to you if you want it. It's more of a collector's thing to get a sealed copy then just the cart. You could most definitely score a cart only off eBay for cheaper, so it's up to you if you want the box and instruction manual... they are nice to have, but you don't need them to play the game.

Thanks ToKen and Ziggy587 :) I really think it's a sweet deal... Before looking on Ebay.com, I should probably mention that i live in Europe (Denmark) so i'm not very interested in buying NTSC games eventhough the NTSC games are like four times as cheap as the same games in PAL...

Well I got a boxed copy of Turok 2 a couple of years back for 99p from Gamestation so I can't see it being worth that much sealed...

To me, sealed is not worth any more than complete (unless the items are in horrible condition). I'm not a collector, I'm not gonna keep a sealed game on my shelf... I'm gonna open it! So why pay more for a sealed game over a complete game?

I'm of the same mind. PS2 and later games should always come complete, as they're all self-contained DVD-style cases. As for earlier games, I'm recasing all those anyway. The boxes have no allure for me. The one thing about them is if you're getting a boxed copy it usually means you get the manuals. I like having the manuals and other suppliments for my games.
