I just watched that Ghibli movie Disney never touched Grave of the Fireflies. Bumped into it today at the used store, had no idea this thing ever made it to blu ray! Last I saw it was 20 years ago on a rental VHS tape. I forgot how good, but depressing it is. Very accurate how the horrible imperial army/navy caused their people to suffer, especially in the final year of the war as no one was spared.
In all those years I had no idea the movie ever came any further than a rare DVD run I never saw at retail so it's a total keeper.

The Muppet Christmas Carol
I had never seen it before, now I will see it every year.

Now for the laughs, is there anything quite like Wolfenstein in movie form? haha, I love weird alternate history stories like that in media. Though, specifically thinking of The New Order because of all the high tech sci-fi elements that would be pretty alien to the 1940's.
Movies with souped up Nazis and/or action, scifi, horror elements? I got you covered...

I guess Marathon Man doesn't really count, but it is still a pretty sweet movie.

Some of those covers are awesome... but you never know!

Hellboy is fun and The Keep was a bit nonsensical, but didn't suck.

This is essentially Powder 2.0, and you know what? I kind of liked it.

That title makes me wish it was a monster movie where Morgan Freeman stomps around NYC.
