It feels like they ran out of budget to make levels or something.
And yeah, the latest Dragon Quest is console bound but it seems like the best version is going to be on the 3DS, since that gives you the combined 2D and 3D view.

We got a new Star Ocean, Tales is all over the place, 10 years later and FFXV has finally arrived, I believe the next Dragon Quest is console bound, even the next Y's is, etc. Yeah it's not the SNES/PSX era, but things seem to be on an upswing to me. Even though the PS3 does have a lot when you dig around.
This! I just wish more of the non-series ones or offshoots would come over. DQ, Ys, FF, and Star Ocean games are awesome for many people but I'm more interested to see someone take series like Summon Night's main series and port that over on one disc(would take forever yeah but would be worth it for me). Heck I wonder if anyone will do another one where they work with Studio Ghibli. I need to crack open my Ni No Kuni but I love the art that studio does so much.

Yeah I just got around to watching this:
I don't normally agree with him, but Conan is just so right about FFXV. I have literally zero interest in playing it. Which means either FF has truly gone to shit, or I'm just a cranky old man out of touch with the youth's gaming desires of today. Either way, no way in hell am I pushing a car around a desert in a video game while listening to a bunch of boy band rejects get excited about a wedding dress. FF is supposed to be about body slamming steam trains and purple octopuses being a smart ass at the opera!

My vote for your worst post Ex. Unless you're joking a bit.
It actually sounds insanely legit. And everyone was exhausted after 10 years of FF13 and other junk, so I'm believing the praise.
Ex is right. I remember seeing the E3 demo and thinking the combat looked pretty blah. And then I see the Conan video and the rest of the game looks worse.

A lot of people are reporting it's way more fun and responsive than the demos.
The Conan video is hilarious, but he's doing his Conan thing.
Guess I shouldn't be too defensive until I play it, but I'll be happily excited and not mopey until then.
From all I've read, FFXV is pretty solid. I'm not all that interested in it either, but far more because the boy band of a cast than potential gameplay.

I'm partially joking. I'll need to read some in-depth non-mainstream reviews, watch some more long play videos, and listen to some forum members talk about it before I offer a more serious opinion.
