Another month, another splurge where I should have probably saved some more money >_<

The 4 PC Engine games were bought from a user over at the pcenginefx forums. Pricy, but a good deal for the console, especially by the UK price standard for the system!

The bundle of 9 mixed retro games were all bought from various vendors at the Retro Game Market we have here in London. How good the deals were varies, but I'm pretty happy with what i got. All the discs were boxed and complete, as was Golf on Virtual Boy - I only need about 3 more Virtual Boy games to have all the games on the system that are worth playing by my reckoning, and most of those aren't exactly must-owns either. Jack Bros is the big one though!

Pokémon Sun was a typical Amazon purchase (<3 Pokémon), and Guitar Hero was a black friday deal.

About $20 disc only. Might of not been as good of a deal as I thought though, since it didn't come with the soundtrack CD

I regret not keeping up my PS2 RPG obsession and grabbing the rest of them while I had the chance. Eternal Poison was one of those, but I'm also missing stuff like Mana Khemia 2, two of the .hack G.U. games, Atelier Iris 3, and... well, I can't think of much else right now, but I'm sure there were a few more. I got lucky and found a disc-only copy of Soul Nomad a while back, so that's one I ticked off the list.

One of the reasons that I started putting all of my disc based games in DVD cases was (in addition to getting a little uniformity in size for shelving purposes) to make so that I can stomach the idea of getting games disc only to save a little money. It still kind of hurts my soul a tiny bit to get something like a Saturn game disc only, but I'm coping.

Yeah, having a bunch of empty DVD cases for disc only games was a really good idea (thanks, Elkin!). The difference between a disc only game and complete is often a lot bigger than the cost of a case and printing off a new cover.

I mean that doesn't work for every game (.hack G.U. is still stupid expensive), but most of the time it makes certain games a bit more reasonably priced for me.

Six new games, 3 thrift finds, 0 from Amazon Warehouse, 1 from Gamestop and 1 Birthday present from a friend pick-ups.

So another light month, though I spent a lot more due to the Shantae games and soundtracks from Limited Run. And before anyone asks, no, I do not have the controller for Steel Battalion. But apparently neither did the previous owner, because the sticker on the side of the game has never been tampered with or broken

For only $1.50 I'll keep it for novelty purposes.
