Now that's a scary thought since I've seen the pic of you in that post a pic thread. That's bound to creep some people out...though I'd assume you lost a bet if I didn't know any better XD

Apparently the Chicago Tribune did an article trying to track down the recipe for the fried chicken made at my dad's father's restaurant. They reached out to him at work and he wasn't giving up the secret.

We've all seen people "zipper merge," and we usually don't like it. But here's why it works »

Started watching an interesting documentary on the Donner Party. Made it a good 30 minutes in before I realized I was watching the Weather Channel.

That sad moment when you realize the channel devoted to telling you what the temperature is outside is airing better history programming than the damn History Channel-

That awkward conversation when your mailman asks why you have been getting so many packages from China, then you get commissioned to retrofit a dynamo...

In good news, the first of my fujian lenses came in. Itll be Christmas before I can put it through a lens tester. But for a cheap video lens or portrait, this is pretty awesome. Stepless aperture was unexpected and very smooth.

Apparently, while I've been ignoring the metal scene, there has been a revival of American style power metal/"epic" traditional metal. This is... AWESOME.

A friend of mine gave me his copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X for putting in his new graphics card.
(he didn't care for the game)

Actually it ended up being trickier than expected. Whomever built his PC originally did a rough job with the cable management, but his case seemed small/mid sized, not quite mid/large like mine. The new card basically didn't fit, until I moved his disc drive and HDD around and tweaked all his cable management.

Then, his computer wouldn't boot up at all. After a lot of trial and error, making sure everything was plugged in right (the SATA cable came loose at one point haha)... I finally remembered to go into the bios and checked out the boot order. For some reason things had switched around and that was the issue, so I changed his main drive back to #1 and that fixed it.

I guess another one of my friends has randomly had that issue. Might just be a finicky thing when you put in new hardware sometimes.

Glad it worked out... because I was sweating haha. Not fun when his computer was fine until I touched it. But all is good in the end.

Got my first ever copyright warning from Comcast... eh. Big deal or no? The email was basically just a warning and pointed out what it was. The god awful Ratchet & Clank movie. lol
