See but I've done quite a few video game purchases where they put that in there and never countered as well. I mean if they put a reason I could understand but flat out rejecting it without meeting closer to what I put is really stupid. I'm pretty sure the $5 type mistake can't be it on how many it happened on XDisiolia wrote:For that range, it seems odd to just decline it - could be a matter of scale though. My only real experience with it was with cars, and with that you largely had people offering far less than would be realistic, which I'd just decline with no comment as well (if they were actually within a reasonable range I'd forward things on to actual sales). So it's possible that they're just used to people offering $5 or something, and didn't look carefully.darsparx wrote:See but that seems common now a days....these people set it up and have a "best offer" but apparently don't mean to set it up to have one. It's very strange since I've had it happen plenty of times....

Anyone bought from RetroGamesJapan? They're having a Cyber Monday sale giving 10% off your whole order, and their prices are mostly below or within a couple dollars from the eBay going prices, and there's free shipping. I just ordered a few games, so I'll post about the quality of the packaging and how accurate their condition descriptions are once they get here.

Has anyone here played Devlish / Bad Omen for the Genesis? I discovered it last night because of the composer, but the game itself looks really cool too. Looks like an adventurous-esque mashup of a shmup and Breakout. I love crazy unique combos like this.

It's OK, and the Nintendo DS sequel is OK too. (IMO, touch controls are better for "paddle" games than digital controls; so, if you only play one, I would go with the DS game.)Xeogred wrote:Has anyone here played Devlish / Bad Omen for the Genesis? If you like games in that genre, you absolutely must play Nervous Brickdown. It is one of my favorite Nintendo DS games in any genre and easily my very favorite "breakout" game. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and the final boss is one of the best in any game.

For some reason I thought Final Fantasy XV was out December 31st.
But it's out tomorrow.
I'm excited, sounds legit and I think everyone was skeptical after 10 years of XIII.

I was going to post this on the ticked off thread but it's too early for that. I'm just getting sick and tired of people on Craigslist who want top dollar for their video games. I mean for someone to ask for 350.00 for mario1-3 the two zeldas and castlevania 1-3 is crazy. I see others besides the nes mini with Nintendo system with 3 games for 200 or snes for crazy prices or a snes for 150 and it comes with super basketball.
I really hope inflation drops.

What? Someone posted this on FB and they were right this is cringe-worthy. It doesn't seem very validated since it seems JRPGs are still very much alive. They've never been truly popular but they are no where close to dead, it's just hit a niche in america which sucks but it's true. I don't get how people make such claims.

Well, they're not dead, but on consoles, they pretty much are. The JRPG boom is over in that space. You have to move to handhelds to really get your JRPG fix, but even then, it's not the mass-market phenomenon it was in the PSX/PS2 era.
Even with some good handheld JRPGs, they've been relegated back to niche status. So I don't think that article is all that wrong, and Japanese devs have adapted a lot of Western sensibilities in their games. Look at Xenoblade, a game praised for "re-invigorating" the JRPG. Except, really, it's not a JRPG at all! It's a WRPG with anime trappings. XCX even more so!
