(For the record, they are Transformers: Devastation, Project X Zone 2, and whatever else I can find in that price range. I'm kinda tempted to go upscale and get the two Fire Emblem games, though.)

If you're a Power Up Rewards Pro member, it should start tomorrow. I'm eyeballing a couple of games, we'll see if I bother picking them up or not.

Now there's a game I had planned to pick up but some reviews really scared me off it (Transformers.) I read the stages are pretty vanilla and not that hard, and then the bosses are off the scale hard requiring not just precision and speed but luck as sometimes the AI just goes into overdrive. Also had planned to grab that last Turtle game out during the year and didn't do that either.

I hope for both our sakes that you're right! I have a day-trip planned Friday to meet up with a friend of a friend whom I've wanted to meet for quite a while, so if I can get all of my Black Friday running around done on Wednesday, that'll be great for me!Sarge wrote:If you're a Power Up Rewards Pro member, it should start tomorrow. As for me, I'm mostly just trying to snap up a handfull of Vita and 3DS games that I've had my eyes on, but have never wanted to go all the way and pay so much for them (The Hyperdimension Neptunia ports on Vita, Popolocrois on 3DS, a few others).

I need to get around to that popolocrois game, it's sitting in my drawer and sounds like fun. I know we got a game from that series on PSP but would be interesting to play the PSX and PS2 titles, but looks like those never left Japan...

Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I found the PSP one in a games shop in Ann Arbor a while back, and since the sequel on 3DS is published by Marvelous, that really peaked my interest in at least picking it up before it gets hard to find. I just really wish the PSP one didn't have English voice acting. Spoiler alert: That voice acting ain't great Xpdarsparx wrote:I need to get around to that popolocrois game, it's sitting in my drawer and sounds like fun. Not only did one of the two that I went to have not one but TWO copies of 3D Dot Game Heroes (although I only bought one), the other one I went to has a COMPLETE (albeit a little squished) collector's edition of Legend of Legacy which I got for the normal price! Also picked up
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Vita)
Return to Popolocrois (3DS)
Tales of Zestiria (PS3)
Trails of Cold Steel (PS3) (on Bone and company's stella recommendations)
So excite!!!

If you've got a ton of points through PowerUp Rewards and want to spend them on pre-owned product, now is the time to do so. Right now, 10000 points gets you $25 off any pre-owned product. There are smaller denominations as well (4000/$10, 6000/$15). Only caveat is that you have to use them pretty soon, before the end of the year.
I already cashed in what I have, good for a cool $35.
