GBA version is the easiest; far better than the broken NES version. Get to it!

I haven't forgotten either

darsparx, dude, I think you're stressing about this a bit too much. We're talking about video games here. It's supposed to be fun.

If you want to beat games, then take your time and focus and beat them. Simple as that.

Yet, if it isn't fun anymore or you just have no desire to play one game or another, then shelve it (or sell it, if that helps get rid of the "not beaten" itch) and move on. Sometimes you'll realize that it's just not going to happen with a certain game. No biggie.

There's no quota to meet you know?

Sometime in December my plan is to bust out my FF1 cart on my NES and do a solo white mage playthrough.

I know, I just find it bizarre for the fact that for never finishing a FF game yet I own that many of the series. (should've added the three SFC carts to the list and FF adventure since it still falls in the realm of having elements of the series even if it's a spin off)

One of these days I'll get to it, but there's just plenty of other games I think I'm going to play first, just because of bad experiences with attempting to play FF1(which even though I own both origins and that 20th anniversary edition I'll track down the gba port first since at least that has a crazy amount of battery life vs vita and psp usually...)

I've beaten it. The NES original, too, not one of the re-releases.

Don't feel bad; I own 1 - 9, the 10/10-2 remaster, 13, Mystic Quest, Crisis Core, and Legend, but I've only beaten 1, 3, and 7.

There was a time, not that long ago, when the fact I had beaten Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, Legend II, and Mystic Quest meant that I had beaten almost every game with "Final Fantasy" in the title. I have beaten a few more Final Fantasy games since then, but there are so many now that I fear I will never again be so close to completing the series. :?

A friend of mine did an entire White Mage Party Play Through.

He called them his 'Little Misses', for obvious reasons.

He did it through an emulator on his phone, so it was the perfect thing to play when he was just killing time. It took him several months to do and it was such a grind. He did say that a Black Mage Party would probably be harder because of the lack of heals and item restrictions.

He mentioned that once he got to use weapons as items that casts spells for free, it became a lot easier. Until then, it was over leveling with still difficult dungeons.

Are you going true White Mage? No class change to Wizard? If so bravo. If not, do a solo Black Mage.

Also that dancer character in FF1...her messages are super cryptic to me once I got beyond a certain point. I always forgot where I was going with how I play and she has never helped me much. I don't know how I get lost in that game but somehow I do.
