Finished my playthrough with nary a crash or even slowdown. I didn't benchmark it or anything, so maybe it could/should have performed better, but I had no problems. i7 3770k and a GTX 1080.

That said, I did uninstall the Geforce Experience application due to that seeming to cause odd issues with other games (it also seemed to be pushing supersampling in some games). So I'm half wondering if that might be creating problems for people.

I've also got some recurring problem where my gamepad likes to disappear (first came up when playing Lords of the Fallen but seems to be a general issue). That's completely unrelated though

The audio issue is utterly bizarre. I had absolutely zero audio issues. As I said, I had some occasional slowdown, usually while looking over a wide open area. So with how I was playing it I didn't really have much in the way of problems that impacted my ability to enjoy it.
Yup. The audio issue seems a lot more uncommon, but I definitely did find a few threads on Steam with others having similar issues. So weird.

I'm sure it's going to be like... a 10/10 game for me, when I can play it!

On the bright side I'm still loving Titanfall 2's online so that's keeping me busy.

Since my last post in this thread was whining about a game's price, I figured I'd follow up with some more boo hoo on the same subject.

So, what the hell happened with Ghoul Patrol? Last time I looked this game up (which has admittedly been a while) I decided to wait on it as it was running about 70 bucks.

I should have gone for it back then. Now it goes for 2 to 3 times that amount! What a jump.

I guess it's just that snes creep that has yet to level off, since I haven't heard any particular buzz for the game.

Something is seriously wrong with me. I have never finished a final fantasy(don't anyone even think about it, i'm already at a point where I want something quicker and easier than any FF game since I'm about burned out on rpgs) and yet I own all these:

I, II(both PSP), XII, VII, crystal chronicles, tactics advance, life as a king, crisis core VII, war of lions, a2 grimoire of the rift, and type-0

Why the heck do I own all of these considering I've never finished one game in the series? I know a few of them came from lots, and 7 I bought based on the rep it gets, but considering my own reputation with finishing games especially long ones it makes no sense. I guess it's more of a reason to buckle down and actually beat some games for once. But yeah i need to fix this problem of mine of buying multiple games in a series I haven't beat a single one of. I think it's obvious my '17 goals are going to be mostly the same as my '16 goals and likely to fail again unless something changes...

If you have fun playing a game for X hours, does it matter if you finish it?

Yeah but I'm tired of not beating games. I think part of it is i keep picking out and playing games that are inherently always long games and as such will take a long time to beat. I'm not keen on the fact that this keeps happening somehow. I'd really like to move some games over to the beaten column of my games eventually. Not many games have that distinction on my shelf(since I put those on the left side of a divider. That's like 7-8 games out of 731(last I checked...). I really want to get to the point where I have the kind of skill that i'm knocking them out like some of you are, it shouldn't be this difficult...

Edit: I know it doesn't matter one way or another if i beat a game or not. But being the person I am it mentally bugs me and feels like I have this curse one way or another that is preventing me from finishing games. Especially since i hate to see games end. I have a least 3 I know I never truly beat if i'm correct but I know I was at the final boss what I assume is that. Golden Sun 1&2, and M&L SSS. Mostly because I could never figure out the strategy and assumed I was underleveled for it anyways. Oh and Megaman BN Gregar....definitely made it to the end there and never beat that either....

That's what's been missing from our forum discussions: asking if you've beaten FF1 yet.

Ugh i knew someone was going to bring that up. I want to beat it eventually especially considering i do have a official card in there now so it should work. But I just have no desire to play it at the moment. I know HLTB says it's short but I have no itch or urge to play it right now. I do have a 3d mario or Sin & Punishment Star Successor itch though. I will go for those I guess once I get around to beating Tales or Cold Steel. Which tales is more likely this weekend since my mom will hopefully be gone to the beach(if she wasn't I wouldn't have the opportunity to put towards it). Maybe that will add Tales to my beat list I'm not sure there's any games on it for this year besides maybe batman if i'm correct...

lol, yeah I'm pretty sure I beat FF1 around 10 hours for the PSX Origins version, then the GBA one too. I think like a lot of the GBA ports of the series there was a lot more post end game content, but I never touch much of that stuff.
