DSi looks to drop the ball
Re: DSi looks to drop the ball
I'm pretty much apathetic about the DSi.

All I'm missing is the Gameboy Pocket. If I ever find one for $10-20 I'll totally snag it.Dakinggamer87 wrote:No your not alone.. I gotta agree the only people who will buy this are people who never purchased a DS or people who have the original Nintendo DS and want to upgrade to DS-i. The only other group are people who have to have every version of a Nintendo handheld..

I usually subscribe to this camp but I just can't justify having one. It offers nothing new over the DS Lite. The Cameras are totally superfluous and I can't see myself wanting to play any of the DSware titles.Dakinggamer87 wrote:The only other group are people who have to have every version of a Nintendo handheld..

I'm gonna wait and see what they do with the DSi store. If they add hand held systems, maybe a system to transfer lower end VC games, then maybe I'll be interested.
Re: DSi looks to drop the ball
Just want to follow up and say I got my DS Lite online again through vista 64 bit. Turned out it was simply a matter of manually configuring the IP, gateway, dns and all that on the DS side, as well as using the outdated driver from windows update instead of the manufactuer's newest. Even got it working through a mac filter, wep code, and hidden ssid.
Re: DSi looks to drop the ball
Great work. Nice to see you can get it to work. What hardware did you use?
