Pokémon Go
Re: Pokémon Go
I have that same problem. I found a wild one and it has the crappiest attacks but decent stats. I have a karp and it's like perfect or a point off, would hate to get a crap clone for 400km of walking so I put it on the distant back burner as Charmeleon is my friend now, and soon then Dragonair.

Bye 400 candies!

But seriously, even though Hydro Pump is the best w/STAB, I wouldn't mind one with Dragon Pulse, it still does decent damage. Plus, I've got so many others with Hydro Pump...

Re: Pokémon Go
I got in a gym fight earlier ago. Had to go into work, blue had 1 dude holding a gym outside work at this old archway to a long gone building I kicked out. I put the gym to lv2 and went inside, a bit later 2 more people popped in making me #2. Near leaving I looked, the #3 guy was out, someone was hitting it. Everytime they did it I pulled my crew out and put the number back to around 4600-5200 area for a good 20-30min. Eventually they gave up, tried once more, I did it again, and they stopped. I had to come home. NOt checked it yet but I'm hoping in another 50min I can get some coin.
Re: Pokémon Go
I really need to quit battling myself. Since the multiple item event ended I've been going through potions and revives real quick. I need to realize that unless I can grab coins right away, high traffic gyms aren't a good idea, that's what's making me waste the items. I may have to quit this weekend, but I'm still getting coin in 5 gyms a day for a few weeks now.

Re: Pokémon Go
I'm kind of mad about it, well I was. With somewhere around 1 minute to go, some douche kicked me out of the gym I held for like 6hours -- no coins. >:[
The other day I did get to evolve a couple nice final tier creatures... Victreebell and Poliwrath(bubble/hydropump.) Not used the water one yet, did use the plant on that gym today and it is a total wrecking ball with its razorleaf/ solar beam.
Also wrangled up a couple decent growlithe as well, going to promote both with candy in time to see what shakes out against my oddball arcanine puppy with no fire talents.
Oh and earlier I happened across a bulbasaur that was over 700CP that had solid stats so I instantly boosted it to a ivysaur and it is like 1079 CP, dust is 3500 to boost(99% full arc), 85hp, and razorleaf+solarbeam! Can not wait to see what this one blows up to at full size.
This is coming off an ivysaur I have had awhile now at 902cp 79hp and vinewhip/solarbeam... I plan to evolve both.

Re: Pokémon Go
1 MINUTE? UGH. Ok that's really bad. As I said, no more high traffic gyms until I acquire more items. I need to hold on to what I got to keep my 5 gyms active.
Great movesets on the Victreebell and Poliwrath. The latter will be a beast in gyms on defense; whenever I have to fight one it's very unpredictable as to the timing on when it will use Hydro Pump, while I know when say, a Vaporeon or Gyarados might unleash it, Poliwrath has WRECKED my attackers because of the speed or energy charging abilities of Bubble. It's not like Water Gun when you'd have a good idea of it, that and not many people put Poliwrath in gyms so my experience fighting them is limited. That said, Exeggutor will win really good against one, because Grass/Psychic is dual-type effective against both Water AND Fighting, when you know when to avoid the attacks.
My Arcanine WON a battle sometime this weekend, I'm guessing Saturday night while it was down there at the war memorial.

Re: Pokémon Go
Got enough for a lucky egg and popped it. Got a venusaur with great stats, but just decent moves. Got me a victreebel with awesome stats and solar beam. My wigglytuff has insane hp holy smokes! Beats out my snorlax hand over fist! Got the rest of my starter pokemon to the first evolution stage. All the movesets seem to be perfect outside of my venusaur. Bumped my pokedex from 93 caught to 108 caught. Such a huge bump! Got me to level 25 too.
