Good job on the golden sun game. Apparently there's a crowd out there convinced they are horrible games but I'm not entirely sure what they're talking about because I still find them enjoyable. i've not played them in awhile but they aren't that bad. Especially considering it should've had a longer development cycle and a bigger cart. i know most gba games were developed in shorter time frames but there should've been a way to combine the two into one game...

Hmm I really hadn't even considered that argument. I guess it almost makes sense, but I vaguely recall when I did finish the game it felt like it did its job. So what if the other one really takes up right in a way that feels like another chapter. Nothing wrong with a well intentioned sequel.

Golden Sun wraps things up a bit better, but it really is kind of a Trails in the Sky: First Chapter / Second Chapter situation with them. Breaking them up, though, makes it feel a bit easier to process. They don't really overstay their welcome.

My favorite part of the Golden Sun games is mixing and matching the Djinn. The summons are cool, sure, but playing around with different combinations to get different classes and abilities is pretty slick. And some of the counterintuitive classes (opposite elements and whatnot) can be really awesome.

Yeah but then you have the weirdo like me trying to keep it balanced and evened out ha ha

Though admiteddly I felt like I explored pretty well in the first and second one's and still couldn't find half of the djnn or just couldn't get to them no matter what I did. I'm going to replay with a guide to try and get them all next time....

It's definitely a game I'd play with a Djinn guide. I wouldn't use an FAQ for anything else.

My simple advice for you comes with a title of three words: Nintendo Power Advance.

While the magazine itself only lasted technically 4 issues (4th being a Super Mario World GBA guide) the other three covered many earlier GBA titles. The one with the orange cover #3 (and figures the one I lack) has a full guide, maps of the world and all areas entirely of Golden Sun. That issue also had a full guide for Breath of Fire as well, it was kind of the RPG issue of the lot. #2 was known for Advance Wars, Mario Kart and Street Fighter. #1 was great with a big full map guide for Castlevania Circle of the Moon and Mario Advance but each had like 4-5 games fully mapped out.

I played it back in the day using it once I quickly realized the other flaw of the game was it being easy to miss djinni and worse yet 2 are in random spots on the overworld map you just walk across to get yet the game itself (towns people, etc) give you no hint where. Not a good system at all, though the use of them is pretty solid.

There are PDFs of those 4 issues out there, just find that one and you'll be good.

The other guides have a good variety to them and I don't think I have a real favorite with them.

A few MVS carts, in rough shape but I take what I can get. And I can't really complain at a little over $10 each.
Reckon I'm going to print myself a few labels from here: http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/mvslabels.html

So the top two are bootlegs. The third cart from top is 'Windjammers'. Label is torn off but the boards inside are totally legit.

Same deal with the green cart below (Garou: Mark of the Wolves). Cart is legit. Ditto with 'Aggressors of Dark Kombat'.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Apparently inside there is a "Pandora's Box 4". The guy says "VGA and HDMI out".

The whole thing for $120. I meant to go test it and pick it up on Friday.

Aah yes, the War Room!
Somehow that is always a reference that reminds me of Dr. Strangelove. :P

BTW, how is the War Room these days? Cozy and welcoming? lol
