That is a weird list. Those rankings are not just subjectively terrible, they are objectively terrible. ;)

Seriously, is this where we rank the games, or have we already done that here? Either way, let's do it!

30. Ice Climber
29. Balloon Fight
28. Mario Bros.
27. Donkey Kong Jr.
26. Donkey Kong
25. Ghosts 'N' Goblins
24. Bubble Bobble
23. Excitebike
22. Galaga
21. Pac-Man
20. Tecmo Bowl
19. Dr. Mario
18. Gradius
17. Super Mario Bros.
16. Kid Icarus
15. Metroid
14. Castlevania 2
13. Super Mario Bros. 2
12. Final Fantasy
11. Punch-Out!!
10. Double Dragon II
9. Ninja Gaiden
8. Super C
7. Castlevania
6. StarTropics
5. Super Mario Bros. 3
4. Zelda II
3. The Legend of Zelda
2. Mega Man 2
1. Kirby's Adventure

To be fair, a lot of these are a tough call to make. There really aren't many terrible games on here.

Ranking CV2 over Metroid? We can't hang out anymore.

Virtually every "top ______ games" list released by a major publication is garbage. Including this one.

It doesn't even matter about the rankings. My wife loves this thing and has a lot of games for my wife to play and her friends and my kids play with it.
The only thing that sucks lol is in Tecmo bowl no NFL names. No bo Jackson wtf!!!!

Hey at least you're one of the few got didn't get hosed. Seems it's working out well. I do agree nothing subjective there, objectively entirely a crap listing loaded with bias in how the order went down.

Ooh, I did, didn't I?

To be fair, too many of these lists are hard to make. I feel I like both pretty equally for different reasons, just as that Double Dragon II/Ninja Gaiden/Super C triumvirate gave me pause, 'cause I like them all pretty equally, and some more than others depending on my mood.

Seriously, it wouldn't surprise me if I juggled that list if you asked me again in a month.

(I really should replay both Simon's Quest and Metroid, it's been far too long.)

Who needs a NES Classic Edition when you have a modded Wii and custom arcade stick? Not us.

When this thing was first announced, I was taken by surprise since I figured Nintendo wouldn't put one of these things out since they have the Virtual Console. Nice to see Nintendo finally capitalizing on market trends.

Except if they don't get their stock in stores and available before Christmas they will be losing a stack of sales from kids who would have otherwise had one under the tree.
