The thread of super awesome fan remakes
Re: The thread of super awesome fan remakes
Wow I haven't seen that brought up in a very long time. I wonder if they ever bothered to bring it totally up to speed with 64bit OS's. Last I used it, it ran in windows but from a command prompt which was annoying.

Oh, nice. I've had that project in my bookmarks for far longer than I care to speculate.

I thought old AOE2Gold didn't like 64bit modern windows? I used to play the hell out of that game a decade ago when people at my old gaming job would mess with it on lunch.

The fan made game I was interested in a long time ago was the Pokemon Gold and Silver remake using the Fire Red and Leaf Green engine. I can't remember the name it went by but I played some of it. It was never completed however.
Re: The thread of super awesome fan remakes
Ahh true enough it appears, but the sequel dislikes 64bit windows and even MS in their compatibility site that has been around since win7 says it's toast. Seems dumb not to support a simple patch to fix a game you were actively selling through win7 coming out.

Wow thanks why have I never heard of this, love the old game from the day. Googling this now to see what you're talking about.
