What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Logan looks like it'll be solid at least. I wonder how intentional not showing the claws much/etc is. I liked The Wolverine except the ending/"last boss" such as it was, so hopefully they can avoid that kind of shift.

I actually enjoy all the X-men films. Even Wolverine. But then, I find enjoyment in 'bad' films (keep up the good work, Ack), so that's admittedly a subjective opinion.

I have enjoyed all the X-Men movies I've seen. I just haven't seen them all. I don't expect that to change though. I'm currently reading two X-Men comic series in 2016, so I'm apparently a rarity.

Oh, a couple of them are pretty....I don't want to say bad, because I've seen bad, and I don't feel they quite warrant that, but they're definitely a couple notches down the quality tier compared to the others.

It seems like it's intentional; since the claws wound him when they come out it's not something he's going to want to use much when his healing factor is failing him.

Spiderman and Batman have always been my favorite singular heroes, but yeah I would say the X-Men verse is probably the coolest "world" to me out of comic stuff. It's just so dense with characters and story arcs.

A shame the 90's cartoon hasn't aged very well like Batman TAS haha. I still think about picking it up sometime and going through it again, I'd probably get a kick out of it again.

A bigger shame about X-Men and The Wolverine series though... that one rocked, but I think that was when Disney bought Marvel out or something so it got cancelled on some omega cliffhangers haha.

X-Force is the only series I got really into reading wise, but I don't read much so yeah. Didn't last long.

Always cracks me up how Stryfe looks like the main villain dude in Turrican.

I've got the 90's X-Men show on DVD, and you're right that it hasn't held up like BtAS has, but it's still quite solid. I think BtAS is just a ridiculously high bar and it's unfair to compare other shows to it.

I saw Arrival over the weekend. It was quite a well done sci-fi story. It's about man's first contact with aliens set against the current geopolitical situation. So it's this mixture of hope and cynicism.
