Nights into Dreams Sealed

Post by andymol21 »

Hey again everybody, it's been a while since I was here. A new start at uni meant that studies were getting in the way of gaming, but now things have settled down again I'm starting to bring my old consoles to uni to while away the hours I should be revising!!!

Just thought I'd let you in on a little conundrum I have at the moment, and one that you might have come across before. I just bought what I thought was a used NTSC copy of Nights for Saturn. I only have a Pal modded console and I bought it basically for the 3D controller. So, it arrived today and when I opened it up I found that the contents of the box are mint. Shrink wrapped CD, perfect instructions and the controller is still in its original bag!

I paid £13 for it and I'm sure its worth a lot more to a proper collector, but I'm not a collector, and I just want to play...

So, should I open it? Or leave it to gather dust on a shelf, gradually going up in value till I can sell it one day when I need the money???

What to do, what to do, what to do!!!

Just play it, games are meant to be enjoyed and played, not to just sit there in packages. That said, if you really want to make money off it just buy a second copy.

I agree. just sell your sealed copy and buy another copy of the game. If that one is sealed also buy 10 more and give me one, haha.

What?!?! Don't open it! Sell that copy and go buy a used one to play. Unless you like throwing potential money in the trash. You could probably buy 5 copies of nights for what you'll get for the sealed one. . . or more.

I'm very much a "games are meant to be played" kind of guy, but I'm also a "don't waste some potential money" kind of guy, too. What you should do is sell your sealed copy either on here or eBay since I'm sure that would fit great in some lucky collector's...well, collection, and you get the chance to make a bit of money. With that money, you can buy a nonsealed copy of Nights, and still come out way ahead. This way, everybody wins! You make money, you get to play Nights, and you make a collector happy! :D
