Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Why do you have such a fascination with that game now? Last I checked it's not a nihon falcom game. Admittedly I'm wondering if the compatibility with it and r5 has been fixed since I updated a few days ago...BoneSnapDeez wrote:True story: I am trying to collect all the non-floppy disk Hydlide entries.
HAVE:
Hydlide (NES)
Hydlide II (MSX)
Super Hydlide (Genesis)
Virtual Hydlide (Saturn)
NEED:
Hydlide (MSX)
Hydlide Special (Famicom)
Hydlide 3 (MSX)
Hydlide 3 (Famicom)
Hilariously enough, I only need to spend $35 or so to get those remaining four. I just haven't done it yet.

Nuthin'. I just don't own systems like the, uh, PC-6601...noiseredux wrote:What do you have against floppies?

It's a fun series of fast-paced old ARPGs. What's not to love?darsparx wrote: Why do you have such a fascination with that game now? Last I checked it's not a nihon falcom game. Admittedly I'm wondering if the compatibility with it and r5 has been fixed since I updated a few days ago...
Oh, and Hydlide works with the R5. It's just an extremely finicky game, due to the odd thinness of the copper contacts at the bottom of the cart.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I beg to differ. When I tried it months ago during my last active session here, I had to of put it in and removed it a million times and still it never worked. That thinner copper contacts is a pain in the rump

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I mean this game has just been playing on my heartstrings for the past few days and I love/hate it! I'm also kinda piecing stuff together better than I used to before they even say what happened, this game is really awesome in many ways....
Edit: does anyone take notes(beyond maps) in some of these super involved rpgs? ToCS is making me want to start taking notes of some of the books in the library(so it's less like cheating). All these orbal and other cultural questions that I feel like the game just expects you to go to the library and really study(which in turn is making me feel like a real student in this game XD) in order to really get those AP up so that you can reach the higher ranks. It's a little stunning how much information and interaction it feels like they put in this that it almost feels like real life and it's sorta scary but fun at this point >_<

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
It's too bad that Golden Axe 3 didn't get a legit cartridge release. It's the only good one on the genesis.
