Not anymore than USB. It's fine. It's not like you'd be unplugging/plugging it in several times a day.CRTGAMER wrote:I like the idea of the compactness for portability and that case is a great idea. On the other hand, the HDMI only output of the NES Classic wipes out as a PlugNPlay for universal to any TV or portable screen. The HDMI ports on the TV are not near as durable as RCA jacks, the continual unplugging/plugging will eventually damage the tiny pins.Ziggy587 wrote:The only reason I want to get the NES Classic is for convenience of portability.

Re: NES Classic
At this point, I think I might actually get one. It looks cool, its official, it has most of the big name stuff I want (missing some that seem obvious to me though), and its a clean little package.
Now, realistically, how likely is it Nintendo will release anything else like this? I know I've harped on it already, but this seems like a possible treasure trove, and I feel as though Nintendo has the weight to throw around to get the rights if need be...

Re: NES Classic
I think the strangest thing is that it lacks Contra and Castlevania 3. There are plenty of other games I would have put on there if given the chance in place of some titles on there.Forlorn Drifter wrote:At this point, I think I might actually get one. I could realistically see them making a gameboy plug n play. Plenty of people remember playing gameboy games and don't have access to them anymore. Hell they aren't even on the wii u vc.

Le sigh!
I must keep an eagle eye on amazon. I don't need it immediately, so I can wait to use my free $50 on file, but I don't have to like it either as I wanted to get it with a spare controller for my little girl and I to enjoy. >:\

Re: NES Classic
Mine is due Friday.
All the allocated stock for it has been sold out over here.
Thinking of pulling the trigger on the Mini Famicom as well. Still mulling that one over.

Hmm. Not too many differences there, but would be interesting from a collection and conversation piece standpoint.Thierry Henry wrote:Mine is due Friday.

Yeah, it seems to be all sold out here in the UK too. I wonder when they'll get more stock out.

Re: NES Classic
I freaking had the thing in my hands.
Went to target asked the clerk if they got the Nes mini. Found the bar code and grabbed 3 in the back. Went to the register so he can cash me out and the screen says can't sell it till 11/11.
I fought to get it and no go. Had it in my hands and all.
Oh my target only had 5 of them
