I found that for its quick move it's either Spark or Tackle, then for the charge move it's either Discharge, Thunderbolt, or Hyper Beam, so in all honesty I think I did all right.

Well, it was a productive weekend.

We went out of town and stayed at the beach, so not only did I find an abondace of Ghost types roaming about, but there were plenty of water types, too. I could also hit a stop from inside out room, and two more when I went to sit outside. It came in handy when people set up lures for the night.

I just thought this was an appropriately amusing candy number
There was so much around, that I was quickly able to level up and gain some new medals.

There were 4 Gyms in the area. One of them was out of reach due to construction, but while I was there I was able to take out two of them and level up one Gym to Lvl 10, bringing my total number of defenders to 6. One of them kept getting kicked out, but as of right now, it's still there, so either no one has found time to take it out, or someone came by to reinforce it. Another one is on the bottom of the Gym. I'd be surprised if they didn't get sent back to me shortly. But as of right now, I'm still at six. I shall miss my heavy hitters until they come back to me.

Other than that, I have little to report, other than I've accumulated a huge amount of Gastly Candy (1052). By the time I evolve anything, I will have a small battalion of ghostly defenders to do my bidding

Not a bad finish to the event. Hatched 3, 5km eggs and 2, 2km eggs. Hatched an eggsecute which gave me the exact amount of candy I need to evolve it. Hatched a seel which can now be evolved. Hatched a diglett to allow me to evolve into a dugtrio. Hatched a squirtle to evolve it with plenty of candies left over since I had just finished walking one to evolve. Walked my charmander to evolve, need 1 more candy to evolve my abra, need one more candy to evolve my jigglypuff. I woild say it was a good time, but boy are my legs tired.

Also broke my streak! I held a gym for more than 24 hours! Hooray! Now to shoot for 25 hours! Hahaha

Still going for me, I finally found a Hypno! It's not the best specimen, but it adds to the Pokédex!

I lost another gym the other day, the one at the library, I was probably chipped off that one too, mine was 2nd from the bottom. I notice high traffic locations stay relatively low-level, but given enough time, all teams do now is just lop off a couple of levels. I noticed that the temple and florist gyms still belong to Valor, but are at Level 7 and 9.

I still have 4 and getting near 600 coins. Lure modules and lucky eggs to come!

Yeah I always try to put a pokemon in the middle of the pack in a gym to avoid being chipped out. No luck though since I can't stay in one for longer than a day.

Go enough buddy candy for a Charmeleon, so I'm not at 126/145 caught.

I'm about 9 candy away from Exeggutor now too, so the tally keeps going.

After that I think my next closest is probably Ninetales unfortunately, who needs 26 candy to evolve...

I find that to be an effective strategy. I'm in the middle of the pack at the flagpole gym (now level 9, the Cubone we used to train is out) and 6th at the other church gym, still at level 10. Especially with Pokémon now from 1800CP and up in gyms, it may be a good idea to start using the dust you've saved and power up to get higher.

Also, single-meter attacks are far better on offense than defense in gyms. I find with a proper type match battle that I am usually quick enough to defeat defenders with single-meter attacks (Solarbeam, Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, etc.) before they even get it off. If you must use one for defense, I'd go with multi-meter Pokémon, so for example then:

Use Vaporeons with Water Pulse.
Use Exeggutors with Seed Bomb or Psychic.
Use Arcanine or Flareon with Flamethrower.
Use Snorlax with Body Slam.

As for Dragonites and Lapras, I don't have those yet, so go with multi-meter attacks with them too.

I am still showing that stuff too, flipped the phone on and ghosts are on the radar ranger. I dont get it, wonder why they have not turned it off.

Kind of wish I could go walk around for awhile and rack up some more .75km charmander candies but I can not for awhile.

I finally took my middling 300 meowth and made a persian, they dont rank well do they as its around 750. At least that and Hypno, Gengar and Haunter are all unlocked.
