Sakura Wars Series
Sakura Wars Series
I'm interested in this series and considering picking up one of them for the Dreamcast. However, since i don't understand the Japanese language at all will i be completely lost? or is there a good translation guide? Thank you.

Re: Sakura Wars Series
you most likely wont be able to play it and their is no translation of the DC versions as far as i know. i believe, however, that some of the PC versions might have been fan translated.

Re: Sakura Wars Series
I beat the first one for Saturn when it came out. Not hard at all, but your gonna miss a bit of story (but that's when you have fun with it and make shit up). My old room mate, in fact, wrote the walkthrough/FAQ for it.

The first two were re released for the dreamcast and then 3 and 4 were new releases. Heh then i guess i shall deeply consider picking up the first one and if i like it i'll get the rest of them. Thank you

Re: Sakura Wars Series
i played through the first disc (of the first game) a few years ago with the saturn version with my laptop and the translation link that majors posted at my side. i personally still found it fun, but i can see how someone wouldn't find looking back and forth constantly fun at all. give it a shot though!
Re: Sakura Wars Series
One of these days I'm going to play these with a translation in hand (I own Sakura Wars 1 and 4 for Dreamcast, and the DC Columns game). I actually have an idea for it: I'll run the translation on my PS3 browser, stick it in the Picture in picture feature on my TV so it can sit in the top corner while playing the game. Better than printing off a few hundred pages I guess.
Re: Sakura Wars Series
these games are some of the most beautiful on the dreamcast.
they also some of the most japanese heavy games for the console.
play them if you can, but you wont understand much of the game. The collector's box is very cool. It's up there with Segagaga
