Anyone with a SNES logo avatar needs to finish this one.

Indeed there was. It said "You made it through Zelda and you played through The Adventures of Link, now Guardian Legend", and there was another one later on that also featured Battle of Olympus, same publisher. It used to be on YouTube, but not anymore.noiseredux wrote:I can't find any proof of this online now, but when Guardian Legend came out there was a commercial that said something like "you played Legend Of Zelda, now play Guardian Legend." And in my child-mind I believed that The Guardian LEGEND was LEGEND of Zelda 3. I loved the first 2 so much that I begged my parents for it and when I got it quickly found out that Link had not gone to space... this was not the third game in the series.

Yeah I love SOTN and Super Mario World but for some reason just never got around to making it to the finish line. Party of me thinks it's because I don't want them to end.nightrnr wrote:...how...?5. Castlevania Symphony of the Night - I did complete 1, 3 and IV
I couldn't stop playing SotN. I think I've done like 5 playthroughs altogether (between PS1, PSP, and Saturn releases). Love that game, along with a several million other fans.
I never made it through Castlevania II though. One day I will swallow my pride and consult a guide to overcome the cryptic misdirection of the townspeople (the true villains of the game).
Similar sentiments, but beating it is definitely not required to enjoy it (but you really should do that).3. Super Mario World
Hmm,
for me, maybe like every other RPG I have ever played. I struggle to finish those it seems.
More specifically, the original Phantasy Star and Dragon Warrior IV. Love those 8-bit RPGs to pieces, feel that they are a triumph among their peers, and yet I just couldn't stick it out to the end.
Might have to use a walkthrough or guide for those ones too.
Sonic 2 was the first game I sat down and played beginning to end in one day.Anayo wrote:I wanted to finish Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as well. I just got stumped on the inverted castle. :-/
I've never completed Sonic the Hedgehog 2 either. I've made it to the end numerous times, but the last boss always kills me until all my lives are gone.
The first Resident Evil is one I play almost every year around Halloween but never completed.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Here are a few more I have tried several times, but just can't bring myself to see through to the end:
Arkanoid (NES)
Burnout 3 (Xbox)
Clash at Demonhead (NES)
Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis)
Einhander (PS1)
The Goonies II (NES)
The Guardian Legend (NES)
Legacy of the Wizard (NES)
Perfect Dark (N64)
Prince of Persia (APPLE II)
Resident Evil (PS1)
Splinter Cell (Xbox)
SSX (PS2)
Star Wars: KOTOR (Xbox)
Vectorman (Genesis)
...Shame on me!
Same here. You are not alone in how you cannot beat it! It always took me SO long to get Metal Sonic's patterns down to actually kill him that I never had the lives to get past the big Eggman robit :/Anayo wrote:I wanted to finish Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as well. I'll keep posting this strategy because more people need to know it:PartridgeSenpai wrote:Same here. You are not alone in how you cannot beat it!
