Using the Game Boy Micro as/on a Key Chain

So I just got a very nice GB Micro from someone over on the neo-geo forums and was hoping to use it on my key ring, so I'd always have it with me, you know for trips to the bathroom, stuck in traffic, who knows. It has a spot where I could attach like a wrist strap sort of thing, but I don't know if that would be strong enough,and I actually wouldn't know where get one.

If I could attach it directly to a key chain that would be nice, but I might be more ideal to buy a very small case for it that has its own key chain ring. Has anyone used a micro like this? Any advice or products you could direct me to?

i put one on my keys when it was new. i just used a large key ring. it didnt stay on there too long though.

The other day I was thinking how cool it would be if one of those clone companies made a keychain sized gameboy pocket that's slightly bigger than the cartridge. The gameboy micro's a bit too big for a keychain though. . . .

I'd have it on my keys more as something I'd always have with me. If I was going to have it in my pocket most of the time, having it on a key chain shouldn't be too cumbersome, but I'm sure I'll get a better idea once I experiment a little.

I've seen some waterproof clear and also some foam-like GBM cases on different websites before that came with tethers built-on. I'll look through my old online game accessories bookmarks to see if I can find any that are still in stock.

You could always get a Pokemon Mini. It's the smallest cartridge based system ever built AFAIK. There are guys who made flash-carts and homebrew for it. The games are like VMU or Pocketstation stuff tho.

In my experience the Game Boy Micro faceplate screen is the biggest load of easy-to-scratch shit in the world, and it's impossible to get replacements so just be careful.

Yeah, I think I'll be looking for a case that has a keyring on it, so I can keep the thing protectd. There was one on play-asia, but its sold out.

Looks like this one has holes where the lanyard goes through tho it may be a good idea to ask. It might even add some strength to the lanyard post.
These guys also have great screen protector material in all different sizes. If you ordered a larger sized crystal screen protector (for a big PDA) at the same time you could cut it up and use it on the outside of the case where the screen is and have a few spares to replace when your keys scratch the screen area. That should ruggedize it really well. I'll be ordering this stuff for myself shortly. I've ordered from these guys a couple times before and all the stuff was high quality.
