So espn is creating the dak vs romo controversy now. I can see both sides. Romo gives you big play ability throwing down field, open playbook, but with a chance of turnovers. Dak gives you west coast offense dink and dump with no turnovers, mobility, dumb down playbook. If the cowboys win at green bay it'll be hard to sit dak. Romo may have been a mvp cannidate 2 years ago but I'd say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. This isn't Tom Brady coming back from an injury lol

I had an animated discussion with a Cowboys fan about the QB situation. I'd be riding the Dak train but it sounds like some believe that Romo has earned the right to start even to the possible detriment of their win column.

Probably doesn't matter anyway. Last I heard, Jerry Jones says Romo is his man. Fantasy-wise he might be worth an empty IR slot if you have one... before everyone else gets the same idea.

2014 romo would be tearing up the league. today, not so much. he sucked in the 4 games he played in 2015. it's like he lost his fastball, like peyton. plus he can't escape a blitz. a free rusher comes toward him he hits the ground like a sniper took him out.

well shit, lacy is out for 8 weeks at least. dropped him and picked up kniles davis to stash in hopes he does something after learning the playbook. i'm lacking in rb1's, only got cj anderson and isiah crowell. luckily i'm good at every other position to be 2nd at 4-2. i'm hoping kniles hits. i'm an arky fan so been watching him for a minute. if he stays healthy he can take off.

Boy, I hope the Cowboys don't sit Dak. I'd keep rolling with him until he hits a wall, then move Romo in. I don't think you can put Romo in right off, have him do poorly, then put Dak back in. Just a bad look all around.

I was considering trying to dump Ryan Mathews, but I think there might be an off chance that the Eagles go away from the ridiculous four-back committee they've got going, so he stays for now. Blount isn't going to be spectacular for me now that Brady is back, and Jordan Howard I'm still not sold on long-term... but he's my best RB behind David Johnson right now. That's... probably not good. I've been pretty fortunate, too, because my receivers haven't been great. I'm itching for Dez to get back, and hopefully he'll actually produce.

The Eagles rb situation, it's hard to roll with. They got 3 or 4 guys splitting carries with the Smallwood guy looking the best, but they keep doing the committee thing.

It's one of the most interesting QB scenarios the NFL has had in a long time. Despite the (dumb and unwarranted) narrative about Romo, he is really good. Like, top 6-7 QB kind of good. It'd be pretty weird to have someone that regularly throws for 3800+ yards and 30+ TDs every year just sit.

Buuut, if you bench Dak, that risks ruining his confidence. And Romo is 36 years old anyway, so why not just go ahead with Dak? Dallas has inadvertently backed into this transition period and struck gold. The trade deadline is November 1... maybe they'll deal Romo to a team like Denver?

I imagine the rookie contract terms make it pretty easy to keep both around. So why not? Dak learns and Romo heals.

I'm interested in seeing what happens on week 13 in Minnesota. Tony should be able to play by then. Will he collapse or will Minnesota's D expose Dak's inexperience? Or will either of them put up a great game and even take the Vikings down?

Last week in fantasy, my guys put up stout numbers and I blew out my opponent. Sitting at the top of my league at 5-1. However, I have my back against the wall and a strong possibility of losing this week. Here's my current roster:
QB Tom Brady, NE QB
RB Matt Forte, NYJ RB
RB Mike Gillislee, Buf RB
WR Antonio Brown, Pit WR
WR Michael Crabtree, Oak WR
TE Coby Fleener, NO TE
FLEX Sterling Shepard, NYG WR
D/ST Seahawks D/ST D/ST
K Adam Vinatieri, Ind K
Bench LeSean McCoy, Buf RB Q
Bench Jonathan Stewart, Car RB
Bench Jordan Reed*, Wsh TE O
Bench Kelvin Benjamin, Car WR
Bench Packers D/ST D/ST
Bench Russell Wilson, Sea QB
Bench Nick Novak, Hou K
Going into the week, I wanted to use Gillislee's RB slot to grab a streamer like Carlos Hyde's backup. LeSean McCoy was questionable. Now they can't decide if he's going to play so I grabbed Gillislee as a handcuff because Buffalo is a stout run team. Panthers are on a bye so I lose depth in my RB, WR, and flex slots. I kinda want to put Reed on my IR slot and play his handcuff, too.

Forte is a turd, but there isn't much to replace him. Now I'm stuck in a hard place on a game time decision about McCoy and I'm toying with the idea of running both Buffalo backs. Shepard plays early in London and screws up my flexibility there as well.

And with other bad turns of events, I'll have to play Antonio Brown without Big Ben. It's looking pretty grim.

Gillislee should be a must play this week. i'd grab him myself if he wasn't just a short term rb1. you look good besides antonio brown. with big ben out, landry jones is brutal. but you never know.

if dak makes it to minny with 1 loss, i'd hate to tell romo, but your ass is holding a clip board. i get it, his stats are top 10 the last few years and he is a clone of brett farve. but as much as he airs it out down the field there is always that 2 or 3 plays that he fucks up that costs games. dak dinks and dumps right now with an occational deep pass. if montana'ing a team down the field works and eats up clock, so be it. the rb's can score all the td's romo would have got through the air. winning is all that matters, not stats.
