On that note, the knife is actually pretty good in CV.

You made the right choice between the two.

It sure does feel that way. I think I can see why some people might say it's the best game on the Dreamcast. It's still early, and I'm only in the Palace (with an almost comical amount of bowgun ammo) but the controls feel way better than any of the previous games, and I think it looks tremendous, graphically. So far, I think I like it the most out of the first four games. It feels a bit more like the first game, in terms of setting, somehow. (I didn't care that much about Raccoon City.) Although, while I can understand the fog in outdoor areas, I wish they hadn't used the effect in indoor areas so much. Also, I'm flabbergasted that I've only seen one item box so far.

This isn't limited to CV, but I'm not really sure how Capcom saw what they had done with the ammo readout + health information on the VMU in RE 2, and said, 'No, that's a bad idea; Let's scrap that, and just give them a pulse display for health from now on.'

The most? Better than RE1-RE2? ...

Yeah so the fog thing, I'm not sure if it's the HD version (last one I played, sounds like you're playing the DC release) but if the corners of interior buildings look pitch black, search those very thoroughly. You'll find a lot of herbs and stuff like that along really dark walls and corners.

I actually think the controls are worse than RE1-RE3, it's more loose, but maybe that's why you and others might prefer it heh.

The bow gun is quite weak so the ammo count is a little deceiving. It's good on one particular enemy later though. The explosive darts are amazingly good.

Yeah there's definitely not many item boxes in this one. There are ZERO in RE0, it lets you drop items in rooms instead and then they're noted on the map. But you can only drop a limited amount per room. I think it was a terrible idea. I'm actually replaying RE0 now myself and it's cool, but still feels low tier to me because of the item management and two characters thing. Weird ideas.

I think CV is great... but I was mostly saying that Blue Stinger is a much worse game.

I like the two character thing in 0. But I agree that item management sucks. HD versions looks fantastic though.

Yup. REmake HD looks practically current gen, as the GC original looked amazing as well. But in both cases Zero looks even better. That said Zero looks a bit more "brown" and seems to have less color to its settings. Just can't beat the perfection of the RE1 mansion to me!

Wow, I would pay a ton of money for that. Heck, that makes me think that Buffy would be an amazing TellTale game ... <drool>
