I always enjoy playing Golden Axe even I have beaten it so many times. I recently watched the movie "Jason and the Argonauts (1963) and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958)". Perhaps those Japanese game programmers got the skeletal warriors idea from those movies.

Convinced my lady to play some Genesis last night. We played Zombies Ate My Neighbors and got up to level 19. Then we played Double Dragon. She had a hard time avoiding pits in that one, so she didn't like it very much.

I also played some Outrun...I really like this one but I'm not very good at it. Feels like there are some serious tricks to the gameplay I'm missing out on.

I've been playing some Rocket Knight Aventures lately. The animation in this game is really impressive.

I have a vague goal of obtaining all the Genesis RPGs that are in English (either official or fan-translated) which would require I get the three Super Fighter Team games, but damn those prices are a bit much for me at the moment.

I finally got into the Mega Drive the other week with the purchase of Tougi-Ou: King Colossus. Damn these carts are sleek looking.

Solid action-RPG. Reminds me somewhat of Ys and the like. It's certainly better than Beyond Oasis and Crusader of Centy.

It's not a rare game by any stretch. I got it (cart-only) for 10 bucks.

I was playing sonic 2 when my niece walked here from her school, so I popped S&K & Sonic 3 in and we played a few levels of of co-op - still as much fun as it has always been since I was her age. Awesome!

Then she got bored and asked to play Just Cause so she could drag cows around behind a jeep like her Youtube idol.

I don't get the reference. Is this a popular thing with kids now?
