Move up here to Shoreline. Once you're outside the 99 corridor it's full of trees. Which does mean we tend to get power outages during major windstorms because the trees like to fall and take out the lines.

I am in Shoreline. I just still say Seattle because I am right near the border and it is easier for people to understand my general location. I am right inbetween the two major rezoning areas though, so I am seeing trees cut down and replaced with McMansions and ugly two-toned box apartments every few weeks in my neighborhood.
I hate this "in network" crap with insurance thesedays. I'm very happy to have insurance, but you gotta go ahead and make it complicated and limit us? I'm not sure how many people can say they like their dentist... but I loved mine, and just found out they're not covered by my new insurance. Going to look into my plans and see if I can figure anything out and not have to go elsewhere. Ugh.
Are you my dad Exhuminator? lol... my parents just moved out to Desoto Kansas... picture the town from Stranger Things I guess if that helps anyone. I finally went up there to visit the family and had to let what looked like literally a thousand bikers drive by haha. My mom has an awesome deck that looks out to a cool single street light and crossroad that looks like something from a movie. They said a parade walked right by on that street when they moved in a few weeks ago. They've got tons of land, my dad has a huge separate two car garage workshop, there's a weird basement under the house with only one entrance for storage. And some kind of cellar thing detached from the house as well. I think the house was built in the 1900's, so it's pretty old and needs a lot of work. But it's definitely cool and it'll be cool visiting them to get away from tech and a lot of people. Ideally I'm probably more of a suburbs/city guy, but yeah.
Yup that's the politicians for ya. They found out it benefits doctors/hospitals if they lobby to get laws so insurance can not be sold over state lines so each state has its own options and rates. You literally could be a 1mi walk from another state, and had you lived there paid 20% less. Get the laws changed as some politicians want so you can buy across state lines and it'll jam lower rates into the system because of rabid competition.

Where we just moved from was legit countryside, rolling fields and cows. The place we've got here is more suburban unfortunately. The portion of land we're on is surrounded by forest yes, but edged by encroaching urban sprawl. But as long as I can't see it past my trees I don't care. Recently found out there are some ancient graves on the land we've bought. Not sure who's they are yet. But I know where this house is now, there used to be a colonial style house. It was torn down to build this house. This house we're in now actually has some hardwood flooring from that original colonial house in the kitchen, as well as recycling its fireplace mantle. Today I found a really old square shank hand made nail in a nearby dead tree, that I'm sure must have been put there by the settlers who built that original house. I just want to know if those graves are theirs as well.
Did anybody just see Rick Bayless latch on to a zipline and say "peace out" then goes like mach 3 across some secluded treetop forest in Mexico. Modern day Bob Ross omg I love this man can't stand it. Lol
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
It was really cool to wonder about the history of my parents new place when they showed me around, so yeah I have to imagine that's exciting to try and piece together.
Awesome. It sounds like a great location, Exhuminator.
I also have a wooded lot now, but it is "only" 1.25 acres; so, I can certainly see my neighbors. It is drastically larger than our previous lot (0.3 acres), and for in-town Charlotte, it is about the most I could hope for.
