Any game with numerous "game over / run broken" traps is instant crap level. That's just straight up terrible game design.

There is no other character in the rest of this entire franchise as bad as Steve or Alexia.

Who loves Gumby/Bandersnatches (official name) monsters that can stretch and slap you across an entire room?

The game is ugly as hell. RE1 on the PSX has aged better, and RE2-RE3 blow it out of the water. But what's worse is the atrocious level design and environments. Completely uninspired, boring and annoying stuff.

Overall feels like a 4/10 for me. 2 points for Wesker, 1 point for Claire/Chris, and 1 point for the classic blue menu and sound effects. I'm not even kidding, this entire run so far, the menu looks/sounds has been one of the only things I enjoy about this game. The rest sucks.

You know what, I'm 100% behind you on Steve being terrible. But if you keep dying to traps and such then I think you're just too coddled by the modern RE "just shoot all the things in the way and you win" style.

Yeah, clearly this is my first RE and I haven't posted much in this thread so I'm very new to this series and genre. Okay dokie.

Well I'm liking Chris' path here a fair bit actually (I don't remember having issues with it last time I played it either). Too bad they're not entirely separate scenarios.

I assume that just means no other VR release outside of Playstation for a year.

Which is maybe what upsets you? I don't really care about VR here initially and hope it doesn't sacrifice the quality of the game.

well both annoy me. Really "timed exclusives" in general are stupid to me.

But, if it means RE7 is only on PS4 for a year that I'm furious.

If it means that RE7 is only playable in VR on PS4 for a year... I'm still mad. I mean, we're getting an RE game that's in first person and is being made w/ VR in mind. I have a VR headset. Why wouldn't I want to try it that way, y'know?

Hopefully it's "VR experience exclusive to Playstation VR" and not "if you want to play you better enjoy VR".
