Aparently Amazon.uk preorders sold out in the first day.
Also, I hadn't seen this commercial for it before:

Still waiting on any kind of pre-order news for the US. Kinda hard to believe this thing goes on sale in like a month with not a single retailer, online or in store, having a pre-order available yet. With my luck, I'll wake up tomorrow for work and it will have gone up, and sold out before 5am..

Come on Nintendo..Please don't be another amiibo/Zelda3DS/etc. situation, pretty please?

That's my worry. I want it to go up, then I'm throwing my $50 in gift card money at it. I won't trust family to try and score the sucker for Christmas as it just won't happen. We all know fairly well with the nerdgasm going on ripping people off on old NES games for some years now this thing will sell out fast. It's official, it's legit, and it's a dodge from paying hundreds of dollars for each of those 30 games on there.

I've been watching my email and tablet/phone for an amazon popup for the notification to come to snatch it up as I'm doing it if I can beat the clock.

Kind of surprised it took that long. The Famicom just wouldn't die at all in Japan, lasted until 2000 I think which is insane.

The game lineup has changed slightly, nothing that really interests me but it's neat to see some of the changes based on what was popular in Japan.

"Granted, these are somewhat minor nitpicks, but other design choices behind the NES Classic Edition feel like genuine oversights. All of your controllers have to be plugged directly into the mini console itself, which would only be a minor annoyance if the cords on these NES gamepad replicas weren't so short. (The Nintendo reps at my session couldn't give me an exact measurement, but they seemed to be around three feet in length.) This fits in with the general sense that Nintendo wants you to keep the NES Classic Edition nearby, instead of placed across the room in an entertainment center. In order to use any of the system's core functionality, you need to first hit "reset" on the console itself, which serves as a "home" button of sorts. This would be a negligible issue if you only needed to hit reset to change games, but unfortunately, you also need to press this button to load and save from one of four states per NES game. I understand why Nintendo wants to keep the 8-bit experience as authentic as possible, but even adding a tiny "home" button to the existing NES controller's design would have been a much more player-friendly choice."

I was pleasantly surprised to read they have four visual modes and that these are the Wii versions, not the darker WiiU ones.

The save states seem easy and manageable.

ok is it just my eyes or isnt ninja gaiden and super c kinda dark ?as in wii nes VC dark ?
the kirby and smb from the videos i saw looks good. but i cant seem to shake the feeling that some games offer like wii VC darkness level. could be just the video but i wish someone would confirm.

also, am i correct to assume that saving in-game on zelda 1 and 2, would still be erased if you didnt use the save state ?
