Well, having figured out how to port my party over from Eye of the Beholder to Eye of the Beholder II, I am now beginning the second portion of the EotB Trilogy.

I'm thinking after I beat RE6 and knock out a couple of quick platformers I'm going to pick up Might & Magic II.

Have you done World of Xeen yet? You might want to do that before Swords of Xeen.

I thought Swords was a fan spinoff that used the same engine but wasn't directly connected.

It is; what I'm thinking is it might have references or spoilers to World of Xeen, or at the very least build upon knowledge and skills you've gained from playing World of Xeen.

I don't think that would be too much of an issue though, as many of the basic ideas and skills laid out in World of Xeen would have come from Isles of Terra. I do hear Swords of Xeen isn't as well-balanced, but I think i would be a fun diversion before trying to tackle the absolutely enormous WoX.

My boyfriend got be Dragon Quest VII as a surprise gift, so I've been playing that.
I don't think I've played a Dragon Quest game before (other than that slime spin-off game on the DS), so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I think I'm enjoying it so far. Only about 5 hours in though so I'm probably barely scratching the surface, assuming that the 100 hour beat times are accurate.
Only things I'm not liking so far are Maribel and Kiefer. Right now I just find them a bit annoying.
