so a buddy of mine got rid of his Saturn and gave it to me. awesome. but when I put a game in I noticed that it sounded different when a game would load. it would be louder and sound like it was grinding more. so I open it up and notice the spindel you put the disc on is gray instead of black. then I noticed that the laser is totally different from the one on all my other Saturns.
I will post some pics in a bit, but does anyone know about this?

interesting most of my saturns always had a black one maybe it's a different one like a rare one.

oval buttons on the top, or round?
second gen is easier to mod, but the original was better hardware IMO.
