New rumors about a $450 price point and release of December 31st.
The craziness continues.

Re: NX Predictions Thread
That doesn't sound right at all. I can't see them releasing it days after Christmas, and certainly not at that price point.
Re: NX Predictions Thread
It's not coming out this year, and I think it would be safe to say given still the amount of time they have been working on it, March would fit at the earliest unless something comes up.

Re: NX Predictions Thread
According to Polygon, the NX releases in March 2017:

I've heard rumors it will be March 17th, 2017 to be exact.
I'd find that date amusing for personal reasons. We'll see if it happens.
The NX is going to have to really shake things up. Otherwise mobile is what's gonna save Nintendo.

Re: NX Predictions Thread
That's a biiiit too steep for me, especially with no backwards compatibility. Granted, all the scalpers will probably eat them all up for the first month or so anyway, so I'm probably better off waiting until the 2nd runXeogred wrote:New rumors about a $450 price point and release of December 31st.

All this given that I've not only heard that it'll be comparable to the Wii U in power with a more $200+ pricepoint, while at the same time I've heard it'll be as powerful as the XBone with a $400+ pricepoint. Hard to take much seriously Xp

I think the max price we'll see is $399.99. Because, you know, having a three at the front makes it more palatable. Marketing and all that.
I know I'll be on board regardless. Nintendo makes great software, so I know I won't lack for quality gaming. Not that everything is a home run, but even with the rut that the Wii U found itself in, I have more titles that I've enjoyed on Wii U than on PS4. Which... well, that probably says something about me, and how I'm not the target demographic anymore, and that DANG IT I'M GETTING OLD!!!

Re: NX Predictions Thread
I'm not saying I like the truth. Just saying the truth.
The NX has a 50/50 chance of saving Nintendo at best, as a lucrative hardware developer that is. Not as a software developer. Going mobile as a third party software developer would see Nintendo having a 90% chance of success. Success being defined by extremely strong mobile app sales.
