I am disturbed by the lack of PC Engine games in that picture. It's like you don't even know the little wonder machine exists!

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Thanks! I was tempted to look for a few Super Famicom and Famicom games, but I ended up not getting any since the lack of end labels made it really difficult to sort through. Most of the stores I went to didn't really sort the cart games, so it was much easier to just go after games in cases ha...BoneSnapDeez wrote:Cool stuff Lauren. I think if I went to Japan I'd be tempted to seek out old Famicom and MSX carts. Of course that's no big surprise.
Soma Bringer rulez.
Oh boy... Didn't know about that. I wasn't really planning on getting it in the first place but it was only 108 yen. I wasn't going to pass that up haha.Xeogred wrote:A heads up on Tales of Destiny there lauren... prepare your body for one of the most insane encounter rates ever!
To be honest, I don't really know much about the games on itmarurun wrote:I am disturbed by the lack of PC Engine games in that picture. It's like you don't even know the little wonder machine exists!

Re: Games Acquired 2016
I stopped by the resale store for the first time in a week and a half today, and was pleseantly surprised to see they got in quite a few uncommon PS3 games. I didn't have that much on me but I picked up these for $5 a piece:
Sengoku Basara
Musou Orochi Z
because I've been wanting to try out Dynasty Warriors, and I've heard people say on here that Sengoku Basara is real fun. Now I just need to find some time to actually play them Xp
I also made a jump on the copy of Metal Slug 7 they had. It wasn't the prettiest copy in the world, but I bit the bullet and paid the 30 bucks for what is effectively a sequel to one of my most favorite GBA action titles, Metal Slug Advance, as this game continues the whole health bar mechanic that the portable games have. And if you wanna go that far, then I'd say this is actually more like the 4th game in the portable Metal Slug series started way back on the Neo Geo Pocket, but that's neither here nor there.

I think I'm the only one on this forum who didn't have a problem with the encounter rate in Destiny.Sarge wrote:Yuuup.Xeogred wrote:A heads up on Tales of Destiny there lauren... prepare your body for one of the most insane encounter rates ever!

XCOM 2 is the best decision you made this year. Feel free to throw out the other 307 physical games you bought.

Haha, the optimization is kind of shit on PS4 - obscene load times and bizarre frame rate stutters - but fortunately, those are only during cutscenes and loading screens, not the actual gameplay.noiseredux wrote:XCOM 2 is the best decision you made this year. My favorite part is the customization options I get for my soldiers. Half of them are based on students or friends (I made one student's day today by showing her a screenshot of a soldier I made named after her, complete with Egyptian nationality), and the other half are following my trend of offending as many groups as possible as badly as possible (I will, obviously, be redacting those names when I eventually write my review of the game.
