Re: Games Acquired 2016
I doubt Fatal Frame would get the Limited Run treatment, but I'd love to see EPIC DUMPSTER BEAR get a physical release. Or Gunman Clive.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
There was talk of them this year thinking of trying to do Fatal Frame V or Phoenix Wright: Duel Destinies. Both would be great but it's unlikely they'll happen. I'd take any Wii U Nindies either this way or via the Nintendo Selects line like in PAL countries.

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Still butthurt we're not getting physical Nindies. Still also may import them despite the region lock. Hell, I've got a Japanese copy of Fatal Frame V (though that was part of a lot rather than an intentional purpose). I did specifically order a PAL Senran Kagura Burst for 3DS, though.jmbarnes101 wrote:There was talk of them this year thinking of trying to do Fatal Frame V or Phoenix Wright: Duel Destinies. Re: Games Acquired 2016
Normally I wait to the end of the month to post what I got for the month, but I just got some cool stuff from Japan (or at least, I think it's cool), so I'll make an exception ha. I guess it's pretty close to the end of the month anyway, so it doesn't matter too much
First off, stuff that I didn't get in Japan:
Castle of Illusion (Steam)
Cities: Skylines (Steam)
Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD (Wii U)
Shadow Complex: Remastered (PS4)
And now for the Japan stuff

I'm too tired to try and do list everything in the order that's in the picture, but here's what's in it (I'll list the English title when applicable, but assume everything is the Japanese version):
GBC
Atelier Elie GB
DS
Nora to Toki no Koubou: Kiri no Mori no Majo
Soma Bringer
PS1
Atelier Marie Plus
moon: RPG Remix Adventure
Ore no Ryouri
Tales of Destiny
Torneko: The Last Hope
PS2
Boku no Natsuyasumi 2
Dragon Quest: Shounen Yangus to Fushigi no Dungeon
Hanakisou
Kamaitachi no Yoru 2
Pop'n Music 10
Taiko no Tatsujin: Waku Waku Anime Matsuri
PS2 fat (with some sort of HDD attachment in the back)
PS3
Afrika
Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!
PS4
Natsuiro Haisukuru: Seishun Hakusho
PSP
Ape Quest
Grand Knights History
Hatsune Miku Project Diva
Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd
Ore no Shikabane wo Koete Yuke
Princess Maker 5 Portable
Vita
Genkai Tokki: Seven Pirates
Luminous Arc Infinity
Omega Labyrinth
I still feel a little silly for passing up on a few games, but I feel like this is a pretty sizable haul. Many of these were very cheap, and most were much cheaper than Ebay, so I'm pretty pleased with that.
Especially happy that I found moon: RPG Remix Adventure for ~$55 USD.
Now I just have to make sure it all works and find some room on my full game shelf

I'm assuming Natsuiro Haisukuru: Seishun Hakusho is extremely unapproachable for those of us who can't read or speak moon language, but any remote chance I'm wrong? -hopes futilely-

Yeah it looks like it would be difficult to get anywhere in the game without knowing some Japanese haha. It sounds like it's a lot of story bits and fetch quests. Apparently some people with no Japanese ability have enjoyed just messing around though.ElkinFencer10 wrote:I'm assuming Natsuiro Haisukuru: Seishun Hakusho is extremely unapproachable for those of us who can't read or speak moon language, but any remote chance I'm wrong? -hopes futilely-
Re: Games Acquired 2016
Got couple of titles today and few last week. Today i got a packet that included 50 Cent Bulletproof and Burnout 3 for the original Xbox, Raging Blades for PS2 and USA version of Jade Cocoon 1 for PS1.
I don't think i have ever listened 50 Cent song and i couldn't care less about him but the game is supposedly pretty decent shooter.
Burnout 3 i did use to own and it's one of the best racers of alltime but at one point i sold some XBOX game to get money for 360 games and Burnout 3 was one of them. Luckily it was still a really cheap game to get.
Raging Blades is a cheapo title and it could be either total piece of shit or a decent little brawler.
Jade Cocoon probably isn't anything special but it has character designs from one of the classic Ghibli artist and it shows.
Last week i got two RPG's. One of them was a original copy of Chrono Cross (USA) and the second game was Dragon Quest 7 3DS.
Sadly though i have an CWF to play American copies of games on my N3DS and the game requires latest firmware so i can't play it. I probably will import a American 2DS at somepoint but that's not happening anytime soon.
Also it's not a game but i got nordic release of a blueray set of Akira Kurosawa's Samurai Films.
It's been long time since i last saw Hidden Fortress and Yojimbo so it's nice to be able to watch them again.

Cool stuff Lauren. I think if I went to Japan I'd be tempted to seek out old Famicom and MSX carts. Of course that's no big surprise.
